The Coming of Spring

Shizouka

                 Next week is the school trip to Izu Beach, Shizouka. A small prefecture off the peninsula of Japan. Okita is really excited to go, but one thing. Today they'll be choosing groups to go with. Three girls and three boys. But what they don't know, is that the girls will be sleeping in the same room with the boys. And that's pretty messed up. 

           . And Izu beaches and onsen springs will be there too.  

        "Listen up!" The student council of Okita's class, Yuki Tazako, spat. The teacher usually let him speak for things like this. "The trip to Shizouka is nearing." Okita glanced over at her friend, Angela. "The teacher wants us to be in groups of six. Three boys and three girls." Angela glanced back with a let's-be-together look. "However, we will draw names to ensure everyone has a group." The students groaned, and Okita rolled her eyes. 

                 All the class perverts lurked in the back, and sulked there for awhile. On the other hand, the girls were happy and safe. Too bad she couldn't go with Kenjiro, because he was in a different class. But she will hopefully see him there, on the plane. "Okita!" Yuki pointed at Okita, startling her from sudden budge. "You draw first." The students watched carefully as the quiet girl in class walked up to the wooden box, with papers in it deciding what group she'd be in. 

          She reached her hand in, feeling the ucky papers that stuck to the bottom. Choose the one near the bottom... Okita outstretched her hand, grabbing the very bottom. Once she got it out the box, she unfolded it.  Group 9. Okita sighed. Not bad, as long as Shun is not there. She sat back down, looking back at Angela. She held up nine fingers, while Angela nodded. 

             After everyone had gone, Yuki wrote down the results on the board. And just her luck, Okita was with the worst but best group she could ask for. She rolled her eyes and banged her head on the desk.  Group Nine; Tazako, Hirano, Makita, Kanahashi, Hideaki, Matsushita. Before we jump to conclusions, let's discuss who exactly we are dealing with. 

       Yuki Tazako: Pro-protect from perverts/ student council        con-extremely bossy

       Angela Makita: Pro-friend       con-always on phone

      Shun Kanahashi: Pro-?       con-obsessed with Okita

      Eto Hideaki:  Pro-smart and popular        con-pervert

       Masuda Matsushita:  Pro-one more member for the females   con-likes black magic too much

                  She smiled at Angela. "Hirano-chan. Are you excited?" Shun flashed a smiled at Okita. Okita nodded back casually. He didn't know that Okita would catch him occasionally drawing her on his notebook. Kind of creepy. Which is why Okita was going to sleep where Angela was between them both. I just want to swim... Okita looked down at her shoes. 

       After class, Okita fell into step with Angela. "I'm excited!" She says. Angela nodded with fake enthusiasm while her eyes were glued to her screen. Next, she went to her garden. But Kenjiro was already waiting for her at the gates. 

        "Hi..?" Okita opened the gates. "Guess what?" "What?" "I think our class is riding the plane with yours." He smirked. Okita laughed a little, "I thought that." She closed the gates on Kenjiro. "How's your stomach?" She got out her gardening supplies. "Fine." They spoke through the gate for awhile, before leaving for class. But while Okita walked back to class. She realized the way he looked into her eyes. I think I'm in love... Her heart pounded.
