So from then on blue fur wore a mask that covered her face. Oak heart always was near her and it became clear to everyone he wanted blue fur as his mate no matter what . From that day crooked jaw broke his jaw having a mate was something blue fur saw as a nightmare instead of a normal she cats point of view a "dream". However bluefur loves oakheart more than he could imagine even she could imagine really. Until that day when he asked her to be his mate which was such a emotional day for her that filled her with joy. Except for the day she went on the great rock when hailstar has asked her to tell the rest of the clans of a dog loose in the area. Another leader challenged her " before you speak on the great rock you must take of your mask bluefur" he sneered. Pine star, pine star was his name . " no " bluefur  replied. " but a leaders word is law ." He replied. " but your not my leader" she growled. " I have to do this by force now bluefur ". He put his hand in her mask and peeled it off her face her eyes wide with shock. " why bluefur have you been hiding such a beauty under this hunk of mask? Why many toms would have given everything to see you" he said. " no, I wouldn't be their mate, "she said " a mate I want wouldn't love me for how I look like but of the contents of my character". She said.  The crowd gasped when they realized they could see her face. She could see the blush from her mate that made her beam in her mind it's all about control your feelings  don't make a fool of yourself on the great rock she thought in her mind . And continued talking in a calm voice without her mask the barriers broken of what kept her down in fear for her life.

There she was on that rock. Her face revealed . What beauty he thought  it made him blush even more. But he felt a surge of protectiveness over bluefur like she was his kit but she wasn't he was her mate. The one to keep her safe from anything. He would lay his life down for her , because when you live for someone your prepared to die

After the gathering

" you were great up there" he murmured in their bed he coiled himself around her protectively. She laughed " oakheart there's no danger we are in camp." She said. But he coiled himself around her even tighter his cheek against her belly every thing was fine until he felt a tiny kick from her belly
