"Sergio," I beamed happily the minute I walked through the door, crutches wedged underneath both my arms as Jayje follows shortly behind me with my to-go bag in one arm, the other holding open my door.

A faint laugh coming from behind me as I followed Sergio through the apartment and towards the couch in the living room. I managed to let myself down on the couch behind him, prompting my crutches against the arm rest as Sergio hops in my lap, craving attention.

I happily grant him with it as I too miss the attention he'd give me. Sergio truly is my world above all else. He's my perfect man.

Jayje sets my bag against the opposite end of the couch before taking a seat at the island counter top in my kitchen. "He missed you." She observes adorably. My heart skyrocketing over the amount of love I have for Serge.

"Yeah, I missed him too." I confess lovingly looking down at him. His constant purring is music to my ears as he further bobs his head into my palm. "Thanks for helping me up here."

"Of course, Em. Do you need anything?" She genuinely offers.

"A coffee and a Sci-Fi movie sounds really good right now." I smirk at the younger agent referencing to previous Sci-Fi movie marathons. Whenever we share a room during cases I would try and convince her to watch one with me. Especially the more classic ones, they just hit different.

"The coffee I can do, however I am making no promises over the movie." She warns as though she doesn't like my choice of movies. Which I'll admit, yes, some of them are weird but that's just something you gotta be open to.

"Come on, Jayje," I plead, our eyes having a silent conversation. "We can watch Space Odyssey," I hinted coercing her to come to an agreement.

She gave me a smile as though she knew that was coming, she knew that I knew that was her favorite movie in the Sci-Fi genre. "Okay, you got me. Set it up and I'll go grab the coffee." She caved effortlessly while grabbing her purse from the island counter top.

"You got it." I beam happily. Like I've said Jayje is my best friend, I've never really had someone to trust quite like I trust her. With that being said I don't hold back from her, I can be myself around her. I can dance to David Bowie while waiting for the coffee maker to go off in the kitchen and sometimes she'd even join in. I can say all of the nerdy awkward shit I want and she goes along with it, hence to the Kilgore Trout thing. When I was away in London she's the only real thing I had left of my life there and I learned to really depend on her company.

Working for Interpol was a huge opportunity and the cases we worked on were almost always successful, but the BAU is where my true concern lied. Sometimes I would stay up talking to JJ for hours about the team and she was always there. I could never thank her enough for that.

As I preloaded Space Odyssey onto the tv I decided that I would get into something more comfortable so I could truly enjoy the movie. I scooted my way to the opposite end of the couch and stretched over the arm rest to grab my bag. I pulled out some sweatpants and an old t-shirt before returning to the under end of the couch. I trap the clothing with my chin as I push myself from the couch, using my crutches as traction.

I make my way towards the bathroom not far from the couch and close the door behind me. Getting dressed took more time than I imagined it would've. Finding my balance was extremely difficult causing me to stop every 5 seconds to balance myself out before I could continue.

Just as I was starting to get on my sweatpants I heard the front door open and close, followed by Jayjes voice. "Emily?"

"I'll be out in a second." I call back to her while continuing to pull on my sweatpants until the bottom gets stuck on my bad leg, pulling my foot out from underneath me as I pulled. Next thing I knew I fell to the ground emitting a loud thump.
