Vicious Love [Teddy Lupin]

3. Hogwarts

Seth and I have been at Hogwarts Express since 10:30. There are already a lot of students by the platform yet there is not one Weasley or Potter. I reckon they're all late, just like every year. They always come at the last ten minutes; the earliest they've arrived was probably fifteen minutes before 11.

Seth always sits with Lupin and Fred, and probably James as well since it's his first year. I, on the other hand, sit with my girls: Roxanne, Colleen and Nina. I already found Nina sitting on an empty compartment with her pet, a bearded dragon that she named Smaug, so I sat with her. Seth decided to find another empty compartment for his friends.

"How was your summer, Nina?" I asked, getting comfortable on my seat by the window. "Mine was horrible. I saw Lupin so many times. It was horrible."

The brunette let Smaug walk by the closed window. "Mine was great actually! My family and I went to Los Angeles and it was just so nice and the people are so pretty and the beaches and the weather and ugh! I would love to live there one day."

Nina Harris is from Texas, United States. She's been accepted to Salem Institute but she chose to go to Hogwarts instead. She's a muggleborn and she loves to tell us all about muggles. She's also the baby of the group. She's the same year as me and older than Roxanne, but she just acts like she's the youngest -- not in the immature, childish kind of way but the adorable kind of way. Maybe it's because she has a baby face.

"And the guys! You need to see those surfer dudes with their beautiful hair and hot bodies! And the girls too! They are so beautiful and hot and I felt like I wasn't even allowed there. It's like only beautiful people could go there and I sneaked inside. I met this girl, her name is Giselle and honestly, she just made my summer so much better. She's gorgeous and nice and funny." She does this thing where she talks a lot and her eyes lit up when she's talking about something she genuinely likes.

"Did you ask her out on a date?" Knowing her, she probably did. Nina is not shy.

"I did and she said she has a girlfriend." Nina shrugs. "But it's cool. I'll probably never see her again. Now let's talk about you and Lupin! Did you two kiss? Did you confess your undying love for one another? Am I going to be a godmother?"

Before I could answer any of her odd questions, Roxanne opened the compartment door and shot Nina a worried look. "Harris, that's a little too early. And no they didn't kiss or anything. All they did was argue and fight and tease each other, which gave everyone else a headache."

"I have had the worst headache for sure. Lupin is too much. But on the bright side, Roxanne and I met Armando Flores!"

For the first twenty minutes, Nina, Roxanne and I talked about how our summer went. Out of the three of us, Nina had the most fun. Sure she didn't go to the Quidditch World Cup but she did go to a beach concert of a muggle band called 5 Seconds of Summer, one of her favorite bands. She met the band's drummer and she couldn't stop rambling about him.

Colleen joined the compartment later, looking rather flustered and we didn't need to ask why. Lowell Thomas had asked her out last year and they've been together ever since. They grew up together and they admitted their feelings for one another last year. It's quite a nice story to tell their friends and family. Their fathers, Seamus and Dean, are also best mates and couldn't be more happy that they've gotten together.

The girls and I were in the middle of a conversation when Seth entered our compartment, dressed in his Gryffindor uniform. He sat next to me and smiled at the girls. "Hello ladies. How are you?" He asked casually, slinging an arm around me.

"What are you doing here?" I frowned.

"What, I can't be with my sister and her friends?"

I watched as two 7th year Slytherin boys passed our compartment. They both glanced at us and stared at Seth before glaring at him and continued to walk. Once they left, Seth sighed in relief. I was about to ask what that was about but then I saw another Seth pass our compartment. He stopped walking as soon as he saw Seth -- or whoever is sitting next to me.
