2. alls well in mystic falls

ILLYANA STARED INTO PARTICULARLY nothing as she lay on her side in her bed underneath her purple duvet. Her arms wrapped around a white fluffy pillow while her mind reflected back on the past few weeks.

Being back in Mystic Falls is a little foreign for her at the moment. Maybe it's because she hasn't gotten over the initial shock of moving back to a town she forsaken. Or the fact she broke her promise to herself to never step foot back in this town for the exact same reason.

When she was here 145 years ago, her and her twin sister were absolutely inseparable and they have been inseparable since they turned just over 500 years ago. When she found out her sister was locked away in the tomb, she was shattered and guilt ate her alive.

During their stay in Mystic Falls back in 1864, a spat happened between the twins that made Illyana leave the town because she couldn't deal with her sisters games anymore. Just for her to come rushing back when Emily Bennett gave her a message through magic about what's about to happen.

Illyana got on the first ship she could to sail her way back to Mystic Falls to help her twin. To help the Salvatore brothers. But she was too late. Katherine was sealed in the tomb, the brothers newly turned vampires and Emily Bennett dead.

     She closed her eyes and a big sigh escaped her lips as a certain blue eyed Salvatore flew into her mind. He was her best friend, 2nd best friend. Stefan being her 1st best friend. The time she's been here Damon hasn't made it easy for any of them to live in a town that knew their history.

     She had a tough talking to him the night before about his actions that involve Caroline Forbes. Now Caroline was her friend, she was beginning to become Illyana's good friend along with Elena and Bonnie. When she heard wind Damon had sunk his teeth into Caroline, literally speaking, Illyana punched Damon into next week and told him to leave her alone.

The vampire witch was so skeptical on moving back to Mystic Falls she was feeling the sad about making new friends. Because if she made new friends she would grow ties to this town once again. But she felt the feeling of being loved and wanted all over again. And she couldn't miss this opportunity to have a somewhat normal life again.

Living by herself, isolating herself did a number on her. But she took the risk to make new relationships and get out of her little box she's put herself in for 145 years. And making sure Damon doesn't abuse her new friend was a necessary step she needed to take to ensure her friends safety.

"Yana!"

The girl groaned a little as she heard the voice of her best friend from across the hall call out her name for what felt like the 500th time.

     She opened her eyes. "Take the hint Stefan! Calling out my name another 7 times is not going to make me go to this silly founders party!"

     "But it'll be fun!" He called out from his room again.

     She could hear the smile on his face laced in his words. She sat up in her bed, her eyes looking directly into Stefan's room. "I went to the first one! Why do I need to go to this one?"

     "Because it'll be fun."

     "You're not good at lying Stefan."

     His face popped out of the side of the doors threshold, a big smile on his face just like Illyana predicted. "I'm trying to persuade you actually."
