Angeline and Alex had been safely tucked away in the cabin for almost a week with no sign of any danger. Alex was in constant contact with his security team that were watching over both of their homes. There had been no messages or calls from Amelia and Alex was feeling even more on edge because of that. He thought this could be a way for him and Angeline to reconnect and bond, but he was mostly finding himself either ignoring her or snapping at her. If he continued this behavior he knew she would pack up and leave, putting herself in even more danger.

Alex knew just how dangerous Amelia truly was, but Angeline had no idea. No matter how hard he tried to keep Amelia out of his life she would still pop up. He couldn't remember how many times he had to change his number or his email. He still couldn't figure out how she was always able to find out his location, he spent so many restless nights knowing she could show up in his home at any given moment. Even being in the cabin, with all the high tech gadgets, he still was terrified he would wake up to Angeline screaming and find Amelia standing over her waiting to kill her.

Angeline was trying her best to stay on Alex's good side, she constantly felt like she was walking on egg shells when he was around. His mood changed just as quick as the weather did. One moment they would be laughing and having a great time reminiscing, and then something would ding on his phone and the moment would be ruined. His attitude completely the opposite from what it once was. She knew it was from lack of sleep and from the lack of communication from Amelia. It was slowly driving him crazy, and she was finding herself not wanting to be in his presence anymore.

For the past two days Angeline stayed in her room except to come down for meals. She didn't care if Alex even noticed her absence. She was feeling like a teenager whose parents grounded her for sneaking out. She even felt guilty for sneaking out before Alex woke up. She never went to far, she could always see the house through the trees.

One morning she woke up feeling as if someone had been watching her. She got out of bed, and got ready for her hike. Before she went downstairs she peeked in on Alex, he was sleeping peacefully. She quietly closed the door and made her way downstairs. She grabbed a water and a granola bar before slipping out the back door. She still couldn't fight the feeling that someone was watching her. She tried to stay calm and pushed the feeling aside. She knew that if she didn't get her fresh air now she would have to wait till tomorrow.

Just as she got lost in her thoughts and was enjoying the sun shining down on her, she heard a twig snap. She quickly looked around to find what caused the sound, but she saw nothing. She was hoping that it was an animal running around the forest. Angeline decided that she should head back. Maybe she could talk Alex into taking a little walk with her after dinner. He could definitely use the fresh air.

As Angeline was making her way to the back door something caught her eye. Something that she was not there when she left. She came closer to the door, closer to the piece of paper that was taped to it. It was folded in half and the part that she could see had her name written on it. Angeline felt her legs wobble and that feeling once again crept up on her. She quickly looked around, searching for the one person she knew who would be causing trouble. She grabbed the paper and ran inside, making sure to lock the door behind her.

Angeline looked around the first floor of the cabin, hoping that Alex was in the security office, but she was all alone. She made her way to the couch, she tried to calm herself before reading the note. After a few deep breaths she finally opened it and began to look it over. She was thankful for her choice to sit down, or else she may have collapsed on the ground from shock.

She couldn't believe her eyes, it wasn't just a note but a picture of her sleeping. Wearing the exact pajamas she had on that morning. Under the picture read "Such a beautiful sleeping beauty. I wonder what you would look like after I slit your throat." Angeline was so upset and lost in her thoughts that she didn't hear Alex come down the stairs or even hear him call her name. It wasn't until he touched her shoulder that she jumped from the couch. At this moment Alex noticed her face and the tears running down her cheeks.

As he made his way over to her he noticed the paper in her hand. Angeline stepped closer and handed him the note. After looking at it he understood her why Angeline had been acting as she had. Alex didn't know what to feel, he was pissed that Amelia had made her way into the cabin, and he felt like he had let Angeline down. He promised to keep her safe, and here was proof that he wasn't keeping his word. Alex reached for Angeline and pulled her to his chest, hugging her tightly. He hated how her body was shaking, he could feel her tears soaking his t-shirt. He wanted this to end, he needed this to end so they could both be free.

Alex did his best to calm Angeline down, however he was not prepared for what came out of her mouth when she finally spoke. "Alex, I have to kill her. She wants me dead and I'm afraid that this will never end until either her or I are dead."
