" You'd rather your damn studies over my parents? Me?" Jin shouted, tears welling up in his eyes.
"No!" Namjoon was frustrated," you've got it all wrong, I don't mean it like that!"
"Then tell me," Jin was trembling in anger, "Tell me "what you mean" Kim Namjoon!"
"It's a once in a life time opportunity! I can't miss it just because of your family problems!" Namjoon's eyes widened in shock.
He didn't mean to say that.
Jin didn't respond. After a long, painful silence, Jin finally turned around and left.
"Wait! I didn't mean it! I'm so fucking sorry I swear!" Namjoon panicked as he ran behind Jin and grabbed his arm.
"Let go."
"No!" Namjoon got even more frustrated. How did the situation turn out like that?
"If this is what you want, then go ahead and pursue it, it's too important anyways." Jin turned around and walked off.
Namjoon stood dumbfounded. Was this it? Was it this huge misunderstanding that would have caused their relationship? Namjoon was scared.
Just as he started chasing after the latter, he heard an extremely loud beeping sound beside his head.
He woke up with a gasp. Looking around the room, he realized, it was all a dream. A dream reminding him of that fateful day five years ago that scarred his mind and body.
He sighed and rubbed his temple." Why can't I just forget about that?"
He walked to the kitchen to grab a cup of coffee, afterwards, making his way to the therapist house.
The atmosphere was tense. Jungkook was fidgeting and swearing buckets. Jimin was forcing himself to look normal.
"Hyung." Jungkook finally mustered the courage to look up.
"Hm?" Jimin smiled at Jungkook.
The smile made Jungkook's knees go weak, and suddenly, all that courage he had mustered a few minutes ago vanished into thin air, as if it was never there at all.
"Nothing." Jungkook smiled back and diverted his attention back to his lap.
Jimin knew what the latter wanted to do. He wanted to confess. Jimin knew that full well, and wanted to prevent that from happening. Their conditions directly contrasted each other, but how could he prevent that, when he himself was very slowly, but surely falling for him?
From the first day, Jimin noticed how Jungkook was so large in frame, but scared shitless of anything. A little scare would send him jumping, and Jimin loved it. He found it cute.
Slowly as he got to know more about the muscle pig, he found him more and more interesting. Despite his fear of blood, he enjoyed watching horror movies, but of course, with the bloody parts censored. He enjoyed drinking banana milk, and working out at the gym when he had time. It was really intriguing to Jimin.
"Well," Jimin sighed, what a shame that he has hemophobia. " He smiled a little," We could've gotten closer. "
Jimin and Jungkook were totally different, yet exactly the same. Jungkook was in confusion, was it love or infatuation? Jimin was in denial, was it admiration or love? Unknowingly, both were going through the same thought proceses, wanting to make the same actions, but unable to do so, reasons painfully chaining them back.
Jungkok wanted to confess. He really did. He had kept that large fire burning in his heart for the longest time, and it was time he shared that fire with someone. He wanted it to be with Jimin, but he was scared. Scared of rejection. What would have been a good friendship would have turned sour, with a thick air of tensity.
"Another time, I swear I'll do it." Jungkook reassured himself as he closed his eyes, taking in long, deep, breaths of the cold morning air of the garden.
Currently, both were located at the garden of Eden, or that was what it was called. It was a place for calm and tranquility to take over your worries. It was having the opposite effect on the couple. The quiet atmosphere enhanced the awkward tension between the two.
Suddenly, Jungkook thought of a question that he had asked a few weeks ago.
"Hyung." He was determined not to back out this time.
"Yes?" The honey like voice replied.
It took every ounce of his willpower to keep on.
"What is your condition?" Jungkok breathed out.
Jimin's eyes widened for a short while, very much like when Jungkook told him about his own condition.
"Why so sudden?" Jimin tried to avoid the question.
Jungkook knew. He got straight to the point. "Hyung. Please answer my question."
Jimin's face faltered a little bit.
"Do you really want to bring such sadness to the both of us?" Jimin looked up at Jungkook.
"What do you mean? " Hi Jungkook was scared.
Sadnes? What was Jimin talking about? What did he mean by that? Was he hinting at something? Jungkok's thoughts went crazy. After a short moment of internal conflict, Jungkook made up his mind.
"I came here to get answers, not to back out." He was determined, to not back out like the coward he was for the third time.
"Tell me Hyung, it doesn't matter." He looked brave. He wasn't.
Jimin chuckled. "You're not ready."
Jungkook wasn't sure why, but he felt a speck of anger inside him. Why? Why was he forever being told that he wasn't ready? Was he just not good enough for this rotten world?
"Hyung!" Jungkook stood up.
Then he realized, he was trying to force answers out of Jimin. He was unconsciously doing it, unconsciously hurting Jimin.
His eyes widened. He immediately made a 90 degree bow, at the speed of his cell master running towards his gate when he made noise.
"I'm so sorry I didn't mean to shout at you Hyung I know I know disrespectful now please forgive my ignorance I really really didn't mean it I-"
He was interrupted by the soft giggle of the elder man. "Calm down would ya?"
Jungkook immediately sat down. "Sorry."
Embarrassment engulfed him as he looks sat his lap. It was becoming more and more of a habit. Jimin was going to hate him, he just embarrassed himself and didn't know what to do to reverse it.
"Jungkook."
He looked up.
"Come with me, I want to show you something."
There ya'll go! A slightly longer chapter at midnight. Imma go watch more anime now lmao.
