Lafayette's POV
All there was around me was darkness. My head ached, as if I've been in a heavy sleep for three years.
My eyes are covered by some sort of dingy cloth and there's no sounds except for the slightest chirping of birds outside.
The last thing I remember is crying myself to sleep because my future with George is ruined.
All thanks to Jefferson.
I freeze as I hear footsteps coming towards the room I'm in. The door creaks open, and I'm blinded by a light as the cloth is pulled down.
A disgusted shiver pulses through me as I come face to face with my enemy and my kidnapper, Thomas Jefferson.
"Well good morning sunshine," he exclaims in an overly cheery voice. "I've made you breakfast in bed sweetheart." He says, bringing over some sort of tray table to set things on.
My eyebrows furrow in confusion and disgust, bewildered that he has the nerve to act like he didn't rape me and ruin my life.
I open my mouth to scream at him and tell him off, but no words come out. He studies me like some sort of mad scientist and chuckles at my attempt.
"I've given you a drug to make you unable to speak for 24 hours. And as much as I love hearing that voice of yours, I couldn't risk you screaming your pretty little head off for help. Now, we are going to eat some breakfast together and have a little fun, darling," Thomas said with a sadistic smirk.
He brought another chair towards the tray, sitting across from me with that same smile on his face.
All I could hope for was that my George would find me.
