A/N: This chapter is from Shinji's P.O.V..

~

That stupid girl!

As soon as Hikari ran out of the room, Shinji checked all his drawers and was relieved to find that everything was in its place, although he knew that Hikari was not a thief.

But no one could be trusted.

He locked the door, and lied down on his bed with his arms crossed.

What all had she seen? She had seen the photos - he knew that. Was it long enough to draw the right conclusion though?

"Pesky girl; always sticking her nose into my business", he snapped.

Who was she to interfere in his personal life anyway? Why had she been so interested in him since the start of college? Can't a person have some privacy?!! That girl was no less than a stalker.

He set an alarm on his phone and went to sleep.

He would need a good sleep of five hours, for she wasn't going to escape this.

~

Exactly 3:00 p.m..

Shinji knocked on the door, not sure whether it was Hikari's room or not.

When no one answered, he knocked again. A sleepy Haruka opened the door.

"Shinji!", she almost yelled.

"Shhhhh! Are you crazy?"

"What are you doing here?", she whispered loudly, still surprised by the sudden arrival.

"I'm sorry. Do you know where Hikari's room is."

"This is Hikari's room; I'm sharing it with her."

He frowned. "I need to talk to her."

"Do you know what time it is."

"I know; I am in my senses."

"She is sleeping."

"Wake her up."

"Okay, just a minute."

~

Hikari came out of the room, dressed in her usual attire. Both of them went outside the house to talk.

Shinji began, " You know what this is about."

She gulped.

"Stay out my business. Am I clear?"

"It wasn't intentional. It-"

"I don't want to know and I don't care. What did you see in my room?"

"Just those photos and a novel."

"This better be the truth. Don't you ever-"

"I just came-"

He frowned at the interruption. "I don't care."

"Just listen-"

"GET OUT OF MY LIFE!!"

She gasped.

Silence.

Finally losing her patience, she blurted out, "I just came to talk to you!! Is it such a sin? Fine, I will remember! That's why no one interacts with you! I just thought that you were different! But Haruka was right: you are a creep and a jerk!! Is this how you behave with people who try to understand you-!" She hiccuped. Her eyes welled up and she ran away from there.

"Hikari!"

"Who try to understand you."  What did she mean by that? Was there really some truth lurking in it? If he thought that he needed a good sleep before, then he had no idea how he would be able to collect himself now.
