I'll Miss You

“Harry, are you in there?” Someone was knocking at the door. I took a deep breath and sat up from where I had been laying. I wiped my eyes, and was able to open them enough to see Harry Styles passed out on the couch beside me.

OH FUCK

‘What time is it?’ I thought to myself, while pulling out my cell phone. I pressed the ‘On’ button and noticed 7 missed calls, 6 voicemails, and 12 texts. I pushed those aside (gotta love smart phones) to check the time. It read 7:51 AM.

“Harry!” The knocking continued. I moved closer to Harry and whispered in his ear “Good Morning” lightly enough that I hoped he would wake up but not be startled. To my luck, he took a deep breath; a sign of consciousness.

Rather than saying anything, Harry merely spread his arms out as if he was expecting a hug. I couldn’t resist. I fell into his arms as he squeezed me.

“Morning” he muttered as he held onto me.

“There’s been someone knocking on your door. You should probably go get that” I said to him, and he began to release his stranglehold on me. I lean upwards so that he was able to get up smoothly. He walked to the door, and began to chat with whoever was on the other side. I took the time to check my voicemails. They were all from Libby and Kerensa asking me how the concert was. I forgot to mention; they were unable to attend the concert with me due to school shit so they sold their tickets to some crazy fans who were willing to pay triple what they spent on the tickets in the first place.

I decided not to reply just yet, so I put my phone in my pocket just in time as Harry shut the door. I turned around and asked who it was.

“It was just Louis, making sure I was alright” He answered my question, and found a spot plopped right next to me on his couch.

After a few minutes, I spoke the words that I’ve been dreading to say; “I need to go home” I sadly say to him. He looked at me, and I could tell that he was dreading those words as well.

“How far away do you live?” Harry asked me.

“It’s around a 2 hour drive from here” I respond to him. He looked flabbergasted when I told him.

“You drove 2 hours to see us?” He surprisingly asked me.

“Yeah... I did. I’m a big fan” I reply with a smile on my face.

“That’s amazing. I’m so glad that you were able to come and be here. If not, I would never have met you” He replied, which sounded sorta cheesy, but I was okay with it. I realized that I really did need to go, but I honestly didn’t want to. I was happy around Harry. I didn’t want it to end; but it hard to. I stood up and fixed my hair my pulling it back into a ponytail.

I looked at Harry after I was finished, and I noticed that he looked more sad than my dog does when we’re about to leave for the grocery store.

“What’s wrong” I ask him as I slip on my pair of grey Toms that I took off at some point in the evening.

“I don’t want you to leave” I heard him say under his breath as he is looking down at his hands that were in his lap.

I moved back to the couch and sat down next to him. “I don’t want to leave either. You don’t know how long I’ve waiting to see you” I assured him. He didn’t know how long I have been a fan of One Direction. He didn’t know how long I’ve been yearning to see him live, to be in the same place as him.

He pulled his phone out of his pocket and handed it to me. “Will you please program your number in?” He asked me, as I grabbed the phone. I turned it on and added my number to his contact list. I then turned on the camera and turned the phone around so it was facing me. I moved towards Harry and put my head next to his. “Smile” I say to him as I click the camera button, making the flash blind us while it adds light to the picture. I made the photo I took my contact photo and handed his phone back to him.

I pulled out my phone to repeat the same process we had just went through. I held the phone in my hand and stared at it for a while. I could feel him move on the couch, and I then noticed that he had placed his hands on my shoulders. He moved me so that I was sitting up straight and looking square into his eyes.

“This won’t be the last time we meet Dessirrea, I promise” he says and pulls me in for another squeeze.

“I trust you” I respond and return the hug.

After a couple of minutes in his arms, I pull away and stand up.

“Hey, so.. how do I get out of this place?” I ask him as he looks up at me.

“Hold on a second, let me put on a different outfit, a pair of glasses and a beanie and I’ll walk you out” He said while getting up and walking towards his bedroom. It took him about 5 minutes in his bedroom before he exited in an outfit that somewhat hid who he really was, and he held a blue blazer with a H.S emblem on the chest. I walked toward him, and he held out the blazer to me.

“I want you to have this” he said to me, handing me the blue blazer. I questioningly accept and hold it in my arms.

“Are you sure?” I ask him, and he gives me a nod. I would have put the blazer on, but I was still wearing the grey one from the night before. Instead, I wrap it around my arm and walk to the door. Harry follows me, and grabs onto my hand before opening the door for us. I love holding hands with him, the spaces between our fingers fit perfectly with each other.

He led us down the hallway, down the elevator and outside of the hotel. I looked around us and noticed that we were at the hotel that was right next to the concert venue; I was surprised that I had never noticed this hotel. We walked towards the parking garage where my truck was parked. When we were walking, I noticed that girls were looking at him and doing double takes; as if they knew who he was, but were unsure and didn’t want to make a fool of themselves by confronting a stranger.

We made it to the parking garage, entered the elevator and I clicked the last button in the row of floors. Parking on the top of the garage was something I always did, because it was the easiest to remember. While we were in the elevator, Harry and I were still holding hands, but the ride was silent. Both of us didn’t want me to leave; but it was inevitable. When the elevator stopped, both Harry and I walked out together, and I led the way towards my Chevy. Since it was early in the morning, the garage was nearly empty; my truck was one of the ten that were on top of the garage.

Walking to my Chevy only took about a minute or so. When we got there, I put my key into the lock so that I could unlock the truck and put the blazer inside. After I placed the blazer on my drivers seat, I turned to look at Harry. I removed his glasses and folded one ear piece, and put the other inside of his shirt so that the glasses hung along the neckline. He grabbed my hands and we stood there for a while conjoined by the hands.

“I have to go” I softly let Harry know. He let go of my hands and moved closer to me and gave me a hug.

“I’ll miss you, Dessirrea” I heard him whisper in my ear. I snuggled my head between his neck and shoulder and told him that I’d miss him too.

“Keep in touch” I say as I pull away from him.

“You better count on it” He replied.

There was silence between us again. To break the silence, Harry moved his hands to my cheeks and pulled me into a kiss. Our lips meet for the last time, and after we broke away I smiled at him, then got into my truck. I put my keys into the ignition, and my truck roared to life. I put on my seatbelt, and put my truck into drive. Before I pressed on the accelerator, I waved at Harry and noticed that he waved back. At that, I put my foot on the gas petal and drove away and out of the parking garage leaving Harry behind.
