You opened your bedroom's door before placing down the wooden chest on the floor. You then happily laid on your bed and grabbed a pillow before you let out a muffled sound of happiness.

This caught your mouse friend's attention.

"Y/N! Y/N! What happened?" Kirishima hurriedly moved to your bedside table.

You sat up while still hugging the pillow. You gazed outside your window to the palace dreamingly before recalling what happened earlier.

"Oh Kiri, have you ever felt so in love?" You turned to shove your flustered face to the pillow.

The animals looked at each other confused. Not long before a female bird chirped, "I, Mina Ashido, have arrived for I have heard a love struck Y/N!"

You raised your head up to look at her. "Love struck?"

Mina Ashido. She was one of the female bird friends you had. You two were close as well.

"Yes. Now, let me ask you questions, do you feel your heart pound whenever you're with the lucky guy?" She smugly smirks.

"A guy?"
"A guy?!"
"A guy!"

You stammered, "Yes but isn't it always?"

"Does blood rush to your cheeks when you're with him?"

"Yes?" You blushed, thinking of his adorable small smile.

"Oooh~! You're thinking of him aren't cha'?" She giggled.

"N-no!"

She screamed and twirled in the air. "You're stuttering~~! And blushing as well." Mina giggled while flapping her wings in delight.

Unlike the others, Mina was known for her famous matchmaking and on point, straightforward love advices among your animal friends.

You hid your face, shoving it on the pillow. "I-I don't know.."

"Everyone, I have concluded that that our dear Y/N is in love!!" Mina announced proudly

Kaminari was the first to react, "Who's the lucky man Y/N?" He grinned.

Despite being the newest member in the group, Kaminari was doing well for his first day. He adjusted quickly since the others were welcoming and he was friendly and outgoing to them as well. You were glad to know that he wasn't as scared unlike before.

Back to his question, you were struck, you haven't got his real name yet. It was kind of your fault since you called him using funny nicknames and throwing jokes.

"Oh.. I haven't got his real name yet.." You scratched your neck.

Your friends groaned and facepalmed since you haven't gotten the name of your desired man.

You sighed in slight frustration as well. You stood up and crouched towards the chest while your animals surround you.

But then you had another thing to say.

"Oh! By the way, hear this. I'm able to attend the ball tonight!" You squealed.

They widened their eyes in surprise, jaw dropping by your declaration. They remembered how you badly wanted to go and venture outside.

You continued, "I'm not really aiming to dance with the Prince, I'm more of thrilled to visit and see the palace for the first time. Other than that I want to see him again... and this time, I want to show him a Y/N without ragged clothes." You declared determined before opening the wooden chest..

You brought out a (Your mother's favorite color) dress. It was simple and plain. It only had the color on the top then the rest of the lower was plain white.

You showed it to your friends, "This was my mom's. It was her favorite. I kept it hidden under a hole by the willow tree behind the mansion so it'd be safe."

You placed the garment down before grabbing a book out from your bedside table's drawer. You put it down and opened it to a specific page.

"Now this is a book filled with instructions in how to make dresses and sewing procedures. They also include ideas for dresses. So I'm thinking, we'd style mom's dress a bit." You explained to them warmly smiling.

The animals chirped and squeaked in agreement. They agreed and gave ideas. They also volunteered for the task they'd do.

But not until you heard Misa's voice calling for you in the distance. "Y/N!!"

You furrowed your eyebrows while your friends complained. Your Stepfamily always get you at the right moment don't they?

You sighed and stroked the dress while smiling sadly. "Looks like the dress could wait..."

You stood up and left, slowly closing the door.

The mice and birds frowned since you'd be bombarded with duties and chores again. They weren't oblivious that your stepsisters were doing it on purpose just so that you won't have time to make a dress.

Mina sighed, flying beside Kaminari and Kirishima who were on the floor in front of the book.

"Poor Y/N..." Kaminari scratched his neck sadly.

"It's still very manly of Y/N to sacrifice her time and forgiveness for them. They don't even deserve it... She doesn't even deserve it!" Kirishima kicked the air.

"Y/N here, Y/N there, Y/N this, Y/N that." Mina mimicked your step family.

Hagakure, another female mouse who you're friends with, gawked at the illustration of the desired dress you wanted.

Realization soon then hit her. Her eyes widened then stood up, "Hey guys!" She falls out turning everyone's attention.

"We could help Y/N! By her dress I mean." Hagakure pointed on the book page. "All we need is a sash, scissors, needles, threads... Other than that we have each other as volunteers!!"

Your animal friends agreed as they nodded and grabbed materials.

Birds measured and carried mice and other large supplies. Female mice were in charge of sewing. While male mice were in charge of trimming and measuring as well.

However, before they could start, they lack the important material: a sash.

That's where Kaminari and Kirishima came in. They offered to get one.

And so, both mice hurriedly scurried to your stepsisters' room where the both of them were throwing off garments and accessories on the floor.

Their room were honestly a mess, but they couldn't really care less. They were in panic of what they will wear.

"Ugh! This necklace looks horrible on me! I don't need it!" Misa lashed out and threw the necklace on the floor.

"What is even a useless sash doing here with me? Eh~ I'll need to get rid of it~~" Toga also lazily threw a sash of the same color shade as your mother's dress.

The two mice looked at it each other with delight. The two sisters slammed the door leaving the room all to the mice.

And so, they quickly grabbed the sash and the necklace before going upstairs.
