The sky was a black tranquility married to a poetry of stars. It was the softness that called the body and the brain to rest letting the heart go to its steady rhythm. Night came as a reward of sorts, a restfulness above to calm a soul.

The moonlight was a diffuse ocean above the pair, lessening the jet inky blackness of the night, but not so bright as to contrast the stars that speckled and glittered from the heavens above.

The conversations you had with Shoto were great and the atmosphere complimented tonight. It was magical and romantic.

The two of you shared laughs, stories and smiles. It was as if both of you had knew each other another for years.

Shoto's hand haven't left yours either. But it's not like you complained though. In fact, you loved his warmth lingering with you.

The both of you enjoyed each other's company greatly.

You and Shoto soon then walked over to a bridge at the Royal Garden under the moon, bonding and sharing conversations.

"So, what does it feel like?" You asked leaning towards the bridge.

"Feel like what?" Shoto questions confusingly looking at you.

You looked back at him and shrugged. "You know, being a prince. Living in a castle and stuff."

"Exhausting, but exhilarating at the same time."

"How so?"

"Because I could get to live under luxury and care. Wear fancy garments, eat delectable foods, go anywhere I want and sleep comfortably."

You just nodded feeling a little jealous, but you couldn't really put it on him though, he was lucky and you weren't.

Shoto continued, "But exhausting because they'd expect so much of me as royal. People would be intimidated of me, which would make them treat and look at me differently."

"Kind of like special treatment?"

He nodded sadly. "Yes. But... I'm glad you're different from them. Even after you knew I was a Prince." Shoto chuckled looking at your eyes directly.

You rolled your eyes jokingly and punched his arm as well in a playful manner. "Oh shut up, I'm flattered Your Highness." You teased.

"I believe that being a Prince isn't that bad after all as well." He added.

You rose an eyebrow. "And how is that exactly?"

"Because of the battle I needed to attend, I met you." Shoto said seriously and gazed at you.

But before you could reply, he immediately continued with a serious face.

"You showed me one important thing that no one has ever been able to show me before. Not that I'm handsome, not that I'm intelligent, not that I'm gentle. None of that. You showed me something more important than any of those. You showed me that I was important, that there's a a reason I'm here. And that reason is to love you, care for you, protect you. I love you Princess. You made me feel like the world was lucky to have me genuinely. And I don't know if anyone will ever make me feel like that way again." He confessed holding your hands with his together while you looked at him blushing furiously the whole time.

But before you could respond even in your flustered state, the dual-haired prince leaned more into you. Although you didn't move nor push him away, rather, you stayed still.

His eyes left yours traveling and admiring your face until his daze rested on your cherry plump lips that were slightly a bit apart.

Both of your breaths fanned each other's lips as both of you were drawn closer to each other.
