It's 6 at night and I just finished my shift. Zach was going to give me a lift to David's house but it's 6:10 now and he's still not here, and fucking ignoring my calls. I'm about to call a taxi when he finally pulls up. I get in the car and give him a glare while he speeds away.
"What took you so damn long?" I ask him and he laughs. "You should be happy that I'm picking you up in the first place Dav. Don't worry, you'll be there on time."
"Dav?" He ignores my comment.
"I like it," I whisper with a faint smile on my lips. He chuckles while shaking his head. I rest my head against the window and close my eyes. For a second I forgot where we're going but I remember. I close my eyes, trying not to think too much about it.
"We're here." I hear Zach say about 15 minutes later and I look out of the window to see their house.

"You're dad is rich." Zach comments and when I turn to him, I can see him staring at the house. "He's not my dad. He's my biological father." I say through my teeth. "Yeah well, whatever. Do you need me to pick you up?" He asks but I shake my head. "Demi insisted on them bringing me home so, wish me luck," I say and he nods. "Good luck." He laughs softly and I can't help but smile at his reaction. "Nice to know my misery gives you pleasure," I say as I exit the car. "Believe me when I tell you there are other things about you that give me way more pleasure than this." He winks and I roll my eyes, still smiling. I shut the door and turn around to face the house. Here goes nothing.
I walk to the door and am about to ring the bell when the door flies open. "Davina!" Laila yells as she runs towards me and hugs me. "Hey, Laila," I say looking up confused at Demi and David standing in the doorway. "Like I said, we all know a lot more about you now. Laila's very excited to have an older sister." She smiled and I nod, half-sister she means. I carefully pull Laila out of my embrace and look at her. I don't know how I feel about this. "Davina!" I hear Emmet yell, he also runs up to me and gives me a hug.
Once I pull him out of my embrace too I stare at them and then their parents. "So. Can I come in or-"
"Oh yes of course." David interrupts and he and Demi step out of the way to let me in. I walk into a foyer with a big staircase leading upstairs and I can't help but stare at everything. Above us hangs a chandelier and the walls are made of stone and glossed dark wood. It gives a great home vibe, I'll give them that.
"So you can hang your jacket up here." Demi interrupts my thoughts and I do as she says. I follow them into the dining room and again need to take a second to progress everything. A big wooden table is set in front of us and the food is already displayed. A lot of food. Beautiful tableware and god, it's all very luxurious.
Everybody takes a seat, Laila walks me to mine at the head of the table. On my left are sitting the siblings and on my right are sitting David and Demi. Why did I say yes to this again? No fucking idea but I'm here anyway.
