Atiqah's POV

(At the afternoon)

I was in the middle of getting dressed when I heard my phone buzz. I continued to button up my blouse as I walked over to it. [Tom: hey Tiqah, just wanted to make sure you're alright. Ring me when you get this, alright. xT]

I sighed. He was such a sweet guy, I wish I could make things work with him. [To Tom: Come over in 20.] I brushed my hair for the last time and heard Jade arriving. "I gotta get to work Tiqah, I'll see you tonight!" she called out to me. I heard her leaving. "Bye Jade, I'll talk to you later! Have a good day!" I said back to her. I slipped on my T-strap heels and went to the kitchen to start making some tea. Wait. Jade working in the afternoon? That's new. Uhmm... Weird.

Knock, Knock. I heard a rap on the door. I turned the kettle off and went to answer it. Tom stood there. "Hey," he said shuffling his feet awkwardly. I smiled at him. "Hey, come on in," I opened the door wider. "I just made some tea, want a cuppa?" I asked him. "Yeah, please," he said following me into the kitchen. I handed him a mug and we sat down on the kitchen bar stools. "So," I said. "Look Atiqah, I really like you. You and I are really alike," he said. "I know, it's kind of funny how alike we are actually," I smiled. "I can honestly say I've never seen anyone drink as much as you!" he laughed. "What can I say? I'm a woman of many talents," I laughed with him.

"How do you honestly feel about last night?" he asked. I bit my lip. "I loved it. I wish we didn't rush into things that quick though," I said staring at my cup. "I did too. I've been in a foul mood lately, but ever since Max convinced me to talk to you, I'm happier." "Why were you in a bad mood?" "My girlfriend wanted us to take a break. It's been two weeks." I was frazzled. He had a girlfriend? Leave it to me to be the other woman. "You have a girlfriend?" I said trying to act calm. "Yeah, well I don't even know what we are anymore. It's been two weeks and I haven't heard from her." "Look Tom, I really like you too, but I just started a new job. I kind of want to focus just on it for a while. And that's perfect cause you need to figure out your relationship with your girlfriend. So how about just for now we stay friends?" He looked at me and smiled. "Friends. I like the sound of that." I smiled at him. "No more awkwardness right?" I raised an eyebrow at him. He shook his head. "No more awkwardness babe!" he said pulling me into a hug. I giggled and hugged him back.

Tom's POV

Just friends, for now at least. I could manage that. I really need to talk to Kels though. The entire time I was with Tiqah I couldn't help but notice how incredibly fit she looked. I couldn't resist her. Part of me wanted to scoop her in my arms and drag her to the bedroom right then and there. She was special, there was something about her that I just couldn't stay away from.

I went back to mine after leaving Atiqah's flat. I needed to think for a little. I opened the door when I saw her.

"Kelsey, what are you doing here?" I asked genuinely confused and surprised. She was perched on my couch acting as if we were normal. Her blond hair was perfectly braided and she wore a varsity letter jacket and tight black pants. "I've missed you baby. I made a horrible mistake. I don't want you to ever leave me!" I walked over and sat on the couch next to her. She cuddled up to my side and gave me a huge smile. "Kels, it's been two weeks. You haven't spoken a word to me," I sighed. "I know baby, I'm sorry. I didn't know what to say. You know I love you," she swung herself onto my lap. I let out a sigh. "You're the one who wanted a break." "TomTom, I'm sorry. Please. You know we're meant to be," she buried her face in my neck. I sighed again as I wrapped my arms around her. "Kels don't fuck with my heart anymore." "I won't. I promise TomTom! I love you so much," she covered my face in kisses. This is what I was supposed to do right? I couldn't help but think about Atiqah.

Jade's POV

I usually don't work at the afternoon, but since I missed it at the morning for spending some time with Max and his friends, I had to.

Some people dread work, but I happen to love it. Ever since I got this designing gig, I've thrown everything I have into it. I was sitting at my desk sketching out some new ideas. My phone buzzed in my pocket, it was a text from Tiqah.[Atiqah: Tom and I talked...we're just friends. He has a gf Jade!!!!] Tom had a girlfriend and Atiqah just knew it!!! The guilt was going to eat her alive. [To Atiqah: WHAT!!! I'm going to kill that weasel!] [Atiqah: don't worry, they were on a break even though that doesn't make me feel any better :/] Here comes self-conscious Atiqah. She doesn't come out often, but when she does, she crumbles up in bed for days at a time. [To Atiqah: babe, it's not your fault. We're having a party this weekend, so plenty of hot guys for you!!! Get excited! xx I gotta get back to work now, I'll talk to you later!] I put my phone back in my pocket and continued working.

Tiqah didn't really know the specifics yet, but last night when I left Tom's, I started assembling our housewarming party. I knew she wouldn't be bothered with it. I invited all of our close friends and told them to invite people. We had to start a new life with new memories in our new flat, right? I realized the boys were invited too. All of them are coming this weekend: Siva, Aoiffe, Max, Marley, Nathan, Andy, Jay, Amy and TOM. Oh Dear, what have I done? I can't tell just Tom "Hey, you can't come, you dick" and I want the others to come. Specially Max...

Max's POV

I walked into our flat without knocking like I always do when I heard someone sucking face. I looked towards the couch and saw Tom's hair. Looks like someone figured out what they wanted after all! I was happy he chose Atiqah, she was better for him and she was Jade's flat mate and best friend. I slammed the door shut, not really minding that I was bothering them. Tom's head popped up, as expected, but instead of Atiqah's wavy black hair there was blond hair and a pale face. It wasn't Tiqah and Tom I walked in on, it was Kelsey and Tom.

"Hey Max!" she said cheerfully smiling at me. "Hey pikey," I smirked at her. "MAX! You can't go round calling me that! Arg!" she squealed. I loved calling her pikey, it bugged her so much that I couldn't help but laugh. Neither could Tom apparently because he was laughing with me. "Tom, you're just going to let him say that to me?" she said to him. He shrugged. "Babe, he's called you it enough times. It's natural now!" he kissed her cheek. She shrieked again and went to the kitchen to make tea. "Make me a cuppa?" I called out to her. She stuck her middle finger up at me as she walked away. I laughed again. "So Tom, taking her back?" I asked sitting next to him. "I got back from talking to Tiqah and she was just here on my couch. What was I supposed to do mate? Kick her out?" he said scratching the back of his neck. "What happened with Tiqah?" "She wants to be just friends." "That's not so bad, boy. You can start out as friends and build your way up." "Eh, I guess... I just think I should give me and Kelsey one more try." "Up to you mate," I shrugged back. We stopped talking since Kelsey came back in the room. "No tea for me babe?" I asked her. "No! Only for me and Tom!" she stuck her tongue out at me. I laughed and got off the couch. "I'm leaving mate, I'll see you later?" I said to Tom. "Yeah, later Max!" "Bye pikey!" I said to Kelsey. She stuck her middle finger up at me as Tom chuckled.

I got into the elevator and clicked the lobby button. I had only gone down two levels before it stopped to pick someone else up. I sighed, it took so much longer to get down when it had to stop so much. I heard someone curse behind the doors before it opened. The doors opened revealing Atiqah. "Well hello there beautiful! Where ya off to?" I greeted her. She smiled. "Off to work of course! Got a long day ahead of me!" she said hugging me. "Where do you work and how do I get hired?" I winked at her. She laughed. "It's not too much is it?" she motioned to her outfit. "You look fit babe, don't worry," I winked again. "I work at the X-tra Factor! I'm the new co-host," she beamed. "Shit! No way, congratulations!" I hugged her again. She blushed and thanked me. "Damn heels," she cursed adjusting her shoes. "Don't worry, they make your legs look damn good also," I gave her a final wink as we arrived in the lobby. "God Max, keep it to yourself!" she said pushing me. "I'll see you around then?" I said heading the opposite direction of her. She nodded. "Sounds good! Have a good day!" she smiled cheerfully. I watched her skip off to a taxi. Damnit Tom. Atiqah didn't deserve the shit he was putting her through. Little did she know that he was upstairs with his girlfriend again probably doing things he did with her last night. I swear, I'm going to have to smack some sense into that boy.
