Kakarot kept his eyes on vegeta as he said his vows and tied a silver chain with a blue sapphire stone locket around his neck.
Then it was Vegeta's turn. He whispered his vows, blushing all the while, as he slipped a silver ring around his ring finger with the same shapphire stone engraved on it.
The priest placed his hands on their heads and declared," with all the power vested upon me by the goddess, I now pronounce you husband and wife." He turned to kakarot," You may bite the bride."
Kakarot nodded and stepped up towards Vegeta, wrapping one arm around his waist and placed the other behind his head.
Vegeta gulped fearfully before closing his eyes and tipped his head to the side.
Kakarot leaned forward and licked his neck before slowly sinking his teeth into the soft flesh.
Vegeta gasped and covered his mouth to keep himself from crying as tears slipped down his eyes. It hurts so much.
Kakarot quickly licked away all the crimson liquid before softly kissing the wound and pulling away. He took his hand from over his mouth and kissed it gently.
Vegeta smiled through tears but couldn't hide the pain from showing in his features.
Kakarot placed his hands on his cheeks and wiped away the tears, whispering an apology.
The new couple bowed before their goddess before turning towards the out of control, overjoyed crowd who had started shouting, jumping and embracing each other and doing many more idiotic things.
They laughed at their antics and kakarot almost went to join them but Vegeta grabbed his arm and shook his head at him.
Kakarot pouted but didn't argue with his new wife. He stood beside him, smiling as he looked at the happy crowd.
" They surely love you, Vegeta."
Vegeta smiled," even if they don't, I do. I love my people. We are like one large family."
" Can I join it?"
" You already did."
They smiled at each other as they made their way out of the temple hand in hand.
They soon reached the palace and went to separate rooms to get ready for reception.
As soon as the reception almost came to an end, bulma took vegeta away from him to the room they are going to share, to get him ready for the night.
Kakarot couldn't bear the excitement anymore but there's nothing he could do. He's a prince now, the future king. Although he knew he would soon die with vegeta, he still can't get away from his responsibilities. So now he stood there with king Vegeta attending to special guests, the kings of different countries.
He sighed. Vegeta is waiting for him and he just wish to cease his wait. But he can't go not until king Vegeta excuses him.
Finally, after what felt like years, every guest went to their suits after saying him their congratulations and good byes.
King vegeta turned to him," kakarot, I trusted my son to you. Please, take care of him. I wish you both live your whole life happily but since that cannot happen...." He closed his eyes to keep his tears at bay and swallowed the lump in his throat before looking back at kakarot again," please, keep him happy. He doesn't have much time and only you can truly make him smile. I can't see tears in his eyes, kakarot and I will never forgive you if he shades even a single tear for you."
He nodded," I understand. Don't worry, king Vegeta. I love him more than myself. I will take good care of him."
The king smiled and patted his back," I trust you, kakarot. I'm sorry, I ruined your mood."
" No, no it's okay."
" You should go. Vegeta must be waiting for you. You shouldn't keep him waiting for long. It's your wedding night after all." He winked at him, grinning mischievously.
He laughed as kakarot blushed a deep red before bidding him good night and going to his quarters.
Kakarot stood before the doors of their room and took a deep breath before going in.
