The whole week was very hectic for everyone as every person in the palace were busy in preparing for the departure of their crown prince.

All these days vegeta and kakarot couldn't spent their time together as kakarot was very busy learning strategies with the diplomats... so as soon as he hit the bed, he would be out like a light.

It was the night before kakarot's departure for Vergara.

As soon as the meeting with council members finished, everyone retired to their chembers.

Kakarot requested king vegeta to give him early leave so he could spend a few hours with his mate to which king vegeta couldn't say no as he too wanted him to spend his last moments with his son before he leaves. He's worried for his son... vegeta looks so distressed these days.

Now it's almost dawn... the couple were laying on their bed after several hours of love making, bodies tangled together under the sheets.

Vegeta was feeling very tired.... Not only physically but also emotionally.

Kakarot tried to assure him that he would return as soon as possible but vegeta couldn't just stop crying. It doesn't feel right. He's feeling like something bad will happen if he let him go.

" Vegeta, my love. Please stop. It wouldn't take long. A few months at most. I'm not leaving you for more than that. I'll return as soon as they sign the peace treaty. Please don't cry." He rubbed his back to soothe him, nuzzling his head as he sobbed against his chest.

" A few months are still long enough for me kakarot."

" Vegeta... " He smiled. He felt his heart swell with happiness as he saw how much his love cares for him," I love you so much. I can't live without you either but you know we can't do anything about it."

Suddenly he looked up at him ," take me with you then."

" Vegeta... " Kakarot sighed," you know I can't do that... "

" Why? "

Kakarot caressed his hair and kissed his forehead," 'cause you'll be safer here. We don't know what's going to happen there... "
He immediately regretted saying that cause as soon he said that vegeta's face morphed into a look of determination," then I'm definitely coming with you and I wouldn't take 'no' for an answer."

" Shut up! I'm coming that's it."

The other shook his head and sighed. Now how can I stop him from going with me... Oh!

Vegeta closed his eyes and leaned his head on his chest. Cheeks wet with tears," I don't know, kakarot. My instincts are saying something bad will happen. I don't trust my fate. It already took my mother from me and I don't want it to happen again." He sobbed, tears falling on kakarot's chest.

" Nothing will happen to me Vegeta... I promise... "

" Promise? "

Kakarot stared at the ceiling and sighed. His fingers traced patterns on his back as he murmured," I promise, vegeta. I'll return. I'll either live with you or die with you. I will never leave you alone. "

He didn't get any response so he lifted his head and looked down to see his love fast asleep. He smiled and traced his beautiful features," good night, my prince. Have a peaceful sleep."
