(Amy's POV)

I never felt so different to have mobian legs in my life! How do surface dwellers know how to use these legs for something?

Wow, I never felt this breeze of salty wind blowing in my quills.

"So Amy, wanna see around our little town here?" Sonic asked while walking on the bridge.

"Yes, this is my first time" I was excited.

"Very well, angel fish. Guys, keep Blue Wind safe" Sonic said to his crew.

"Aye aye captain!" They but Shadow saluted. Sonic and I headed to the small town near the shore and we went past some stores and restaurants there was, such as the Happy Shark since it got a sign with a happy shark on it.

"Is there more people you know here?" I asked Sonic.

"Yes, Knuckles and Rouge but they are on a honeymoon right now" Sonic said.

"Interesting. What's a restaurant? I smell food or something" I said.

"Where you eat or drink by paying. Oh, I get it, Atlantis don't have it" Sonic said.

"No. We just eat for free when it comes to rehearsals and presentations" I said.

"I see. On land, everything has changed for centuries, angel fish. Even pirates too. Most of them" Sonic said and brought me to the beach filled with people. The way my feet touched the sand, it was warm but a little hot due to maybe sunlight, I guess.

"What's that guy doing on the high chair?" I asked, pointing at it.

"That's the lifeguard, he looks after those who are about to drown and he goes to rescue them" Sonic explained.

"Oh, that's great" I was impressed.

He brought me to a rock shore and I see seashells everywhere, "This is where I used to go when I was a kid. My grandmother taught me how to make seashell necklaces" Sonic said.

"Really? I do so too at Atlantis, most have them like earrings too" I said.

"I see. My brother and sister are not interested in sea life. But I do. Being a pirate inspires me to travel to the seas like my ancestors did. Seashells hold histories and stuff. Like this one, I can tell that it looks 5 years old" Sonic picks up a white seashell.

"Yes, and by listening on it, you can hear the seas" I held the shell close to my ear, hearing the sound inside.

Yeah, my grandmother once told me that seashells can hold mysteries of sounds from the past. Last time I held one in my ear; I can hear whales singing" Sonic said.

"You seem to like ocean life. My mother once told me stories about pirates being savage and brutal beings. But you, you don't sound like one" I said.

"That generation is over. I'm nothing like them" Sonic said.

"But why? What made you different?" I asked.

"Because the way they plundered and killed was not feeling right. I didn't want to be barbaric" Sonic said.

"I understand. You're not into violence" I said.

"Well, sometimes I am. But only when I have to defend myself. Like the time I nearly got killed by a shark but I wrestled one and punched him in the snout" Sonic chuckled.

"Wow, I wish I could have seen that" I was impressed.

"Yeah, but I lived. Sometimes a pirate got to do what a pirate got to do" Sonic said and I followed him where he shows me his world.
