"Do you think she suspects anything?", Danny asks pulling on his shorts. Sweat dripping from his wavy hair. We just came back from our late evening run. We usually run together between 7pm to 9pm.

That's how we keep fit as werewolves.

" I don't think so. I'm sure she just finds it weird that I just get up and leave whenever you show up", I state sending him a sharp glare which makes Danny exhale loudly. Keith joins us as well panting mildly.
" It's not my fault!. Your dad just always mind links me whenever she is around and you know I can't refuse his order", Danny says apologetically.
"What are we talking about?", Keith interrupts foxing the band of his shorts.
" We are talking about what DC here is keeping from his mate", Danny supplies. Danny puts on his pants and we stroll to the pack house. It's getting darker and it isn't smart to be in the woods when it's this late.

We don't exactly have friendly people around us.

"You know, I think Lumi senses something too", Keith says in a matter of fact tone which makes Danny stop in his tracks, shaking his head. " Oh man, I don't want her finding out if it's not from me. What made you say yjay though? ", he asked Keith.

" Well, the last time you not so subtly dragged DC out of his room, I went out to get some coffee and I saw them talking in hushed tones. They are putting two and two together ", he finishes.
" Shit!",goes Danny.

I really didn't want to keep anything from my mate. She was supposed to be my sole confidant but at the same time, I needed to protect her.

She wasn't ready for all this werewolf baggage. She's too fragile even though she hates it when I use that word.

" I think we should tell them", I state.
"What?!. Your dad would flip. We can't do that!", Danny retorts.

" Look,I would rather take all of my dad's anger than lose my mate. She is bound to find out sooner or later anyways", I state as Keith nods.

"Y'all talking about mates and I can't even relate", Keith state with a cold look.

" That's all on you dude. I never knew you to be a coward ",I say trying hard not to flip.
I know Keith had this whole lone wolf thing going on for so long, but he can't deny that he longs to feel that mate bond too.

" I do not want to talk about it", he says and I sense that he is about to lose his temper. The pack house building is surfacing already. We are almost home.

"You can't not talk about it forever man", Danny interjects. " This is your mate we are talking about here. You are the man, you should go get your girl. She is the one who completes you", Danny finishes.

Keith just lets out a loud growl and hits the tree nearest to him.

" You think I don't know that?!. I have tried everything. She is just really impossible to deal it!", he grunts.

"Just admit it. Admit that you need her. Tell her. Maybe that's all she just wants to hear from you. Stop being the big bad werewolf. That won't work on her!", I state in frustration.

The earlier he gets this the better.

" Look,I agree with DC on this one. Your mate is the only one allowed to see all parts of you. You can't keep being egotistical. You have to let her know that you truly need her. And DC is absolutely right, maybe that's all she needs to hear from you", Danny says with a loud huff as we arrive in front of the huge black gate which automatically opens on our arrival.

"As much as I hate to admit this, I think I've been going about this whole thing all wrong. I'm just too proud for my own good", he says with a loud sigh as we stroll in,the gate locks behind us.

" Finally, you've come to your senses", Danny says with a wide smile etched on his face.

"Now go get your girl", I say with a smile as well giving Keith a pat on the back.

" Will do", he replies as we are all about to enter the main entrance when suddenly Danny yells something causing us all to pause in our tracks.
"What is wrong?, Keith asks concern laced all over his tone as we walk over to Danny.

" Something is wrong. Something is happening to Lumi!", Danny yells, louder this time.

Immediately I hear that statement I just go berserker.
If my memory serves me right,they had this girls night out thing tonight. Kate didn't want them to tell the boys but my mate told me anyways but she made me promise to keep it a secret.
If something's happening to my sister, then my mate could be in danger too.
"Arrrrrgh!", he groans ,his eyes turning dark brown. Oh shit, he is about to shift. She is in pain.
He can feel her pain because they mated already so the mate bond binds them together.

" We have to get to her!", Danny yells as Keith looks frantic. He has no either where they are either. I'm sure he doesn't when know about the outing.

"Look, I'm in a mess too Danny, Adrianna told me they had this girls night out all planned out but she didn't tell me where. Try to find Lumi in your mind. Use anything!. Use any memory just try to find her!", I yell as he groans louder which makes two of the guards at a distance rush over to where we are.

"What happened Alpha?", one of them asks obviously sensing that something is wrong.
" Tell my dad and mum that something happened with Lumi and my mate. We are going to find them!", I yell as they nod and disappear.

Danny's yelling even louder and within seconds he shifts into his wolf form and gives a loud howl before taking off. That's enough confirmation for us, he knows where she is. Keith and I shift as well and tale off in the same direction as Keith.

Dear moon goddess , please protect my mate. Please.
