CHAPTER TWENTY-THREE (edited)

DANIEL COLE.

I can't believe we have been searching for her, all this time.

The missling link was her, Nina. She is a student at our school and I remember seeing her once in a while, she is not exactly popular so I didn't really pay attention to her.

What's weird is that she has some information we need. Here she is, standing in front of me, my beta and delta.

"I'm sure the two of you dont know me", she says staring at Keith and Danny, she sighs and shifts her gaze to the dead rabbit in her hand and flings it out of sight. "I dont need it anymore", she says with a smirk.

"Who are you?", keith asks.

"I'm not even surprised. I attended the same school as you for more than two years", she says as keith just stares at her in disbelief.

"It's a big school. You can't blame him for not remembering your face", Danny retorts as she grins.

"Of course, nobody knows a nobody. At least you all thought I was a nobody until now", she says as she starts moving towards us.

Keith still has the formation of a fighter, like he is ready to attack anytime. But I know she cant attack us, at least for now.

"Look, I'm not here to fight. I need you all to know that we are in danger. I was there that night, the night your mates were attacked", she says and that grabs all our attention.

"You were there?. Why should we even believe you?", I state as she nods.

"I was expecting this so I came prepared. The were jaguar.", she says and I stare at her in disbelief.

She knows about that. That's top secret.

"So you know him,big deal. Why should we trust you?", Danny seethes.

"I'm working for him. At least I take orders from him. You could say I'm his eyes and ears in Oakcreek", she says bowing.

"DC, I'm seconds away from ripping her head off", keith announces as I roll my eyes. "Calm down", I say as he reluctantly nods and steps back.

"You just said you're a friend yet you confidently just told us that you take orders from the enemy. Why should we believe you. And why were you there that night?", I ask.

"You should know he won't let go of her that easily. There are so many things you do not know about. Yes, I take orders from him because he is blackmailing me. He has my family in his possession and I can't disobey his orders. He will kill them. I was a normal werewolf here, but I never really belonged here. I was just a nobody until I ran into Adrianna one day at school and for the first time in my life, I felt this sense of acceptance. But that day my life changed", she pauses and then sits on the floor.

" She was going to introduce me to her group that day and I was really excited. We said our goodbyes cos we had different classes before lunch, on my way to my next class. I received the phone call that my parents had been involved in an accident. I quickly rushed to the hospital and I saw my parents, almost lifeless. That was when I received another phone call, I was told that someone had taken care of all the hospital bills and my parents would be transferred to a better room. I didnt know who it was but I was thankful because we didnt even have the money to pay on our own. The nurses came and wheeled them away, I was going to leave with them but  the doctor asked to see me. I was in the doctor's  office when I got the call telling me my parents had been taken to a safer place, and their lives were in my hands. I had to obey all instructions or they would die. Ever since that day. I stopped school,not that anybody noticed. I've been working for the were jaguar", she says with a tight smile.
