I lay down on Mattias bed. Kairi laying next to me. Mattia starts a live and plays music and sits next to me, between me and Kai. Both of us putting our heads on his shoulder reading the comments. I laugh at one.

"Ship me and max and Mattia and Kai" I say smiling
"Or kai and cadence" Mattis says under his breath making me smack him. Everyone heard.
"Nothing is going on between me and kairi" I roll my eyes at Mattia reading the ship comments.
"I've got plans later guys so imma have to leave early" Kairi announces
"Where are you even going?" Mattia asks annoying.
"I'm going to meet up with Celia, shes coming to Jersey today"
"You're a fucking simp, ditching us for you're whore" alejandro says finally showing himself on the live laying on our laps.
I laugh as Mattia pushes him. "Get off of me you rat fuck."
My phone starts ringing and I look down at it, Max. I sit up and answer.
"What's up?" I answer
"Are you still at Mattias?"
"Yeah, why?"
"Think I can still come over?"
"Hey Matt can Max come over?" I ask him.
"Hell nah, I don't want that rat fuck over here" mattia responds laughing. I give him a 'are you fucking kidding me bitch' look and he laughs. "Yeah whatever I dont care." He finally caves.
"Yeah you can come" I say into the phone
"Ight love you bye" he says hanging up. Theres that damn word again.
I read the comments, most of them being "she didnt say she loves him back?" I roll my eyes. Howd they even hear that?
"She is very serious with the word love, it's something that is important to her, she doesnt want to rush it. She knew me and the boys since we were 3 and it took her 12 years to tell us as friends." Mattia says clearing the confusion. I give him a grateful smile.
"Ight whores, I'm out, celia is finna land soon" kairi says getting up.
"Whose gonna take me home then?" I ask pouting.
"You're boyfriend" he says leaving.
"You're a fucking simp Kairi" Mattia shouts as Kai leaves the room.
I laugh and Mattia speaks up again. "Ight imma go hangout with my goons, later live" he says ending it.
"Yall realize Max is gonna come and bring the whole mood down right?" Alejandro says looking at me.
"No he won't, hes chill"
"Hes been drinking you know. He isn't chill at all when hes drunk."
"You're annoying I say grabbing my things.
"Where are you going?" Mattia asks grabbing my arm.
"To catch a ride with kairi, away from you annoying assholes. Tell Max I left when he pulls up. I saw rolling my eyes and walking to the door.
"What did we do?" Ale asks
"Who knows, shes moody" mattia responds. I slam the door running out as kairi is backing up. He sees me and stops.
I hop in the car. "Can I come with you?"
He laughs. "Guys annoying you about Max?" He asks
I roll my eyes and nod.
We pull up at McDonalds and he parks. "Dont we have to get Celia?" I ask getting out with him.
"She lands in like an hour. I was hungry so I left early." Kairi responds and we both laugh.
We both order nuggets and sit in the corner, I paid, kai played last time we went to eat.
We are pretty much in silence while we were on our phones.
"I've gotta piss, then we'll go" Kairi says standing up
I just nod before standing to go to the bathroom too.
Once I do my business I wash my hands and walk out of the bathroom. Bumping into kairi and almost falling. Him catching me. Our faces only centimeters apart. Theres a moment here and I feel it. I turn around fast ending it.
That was weird. Stfu cadence you liked it. My own mind responds. I walk out to the car and sit down on the passenger Kairi shortly after me.
"What was that?" He asks looking at him. I dont respond.
Next thing I know his hand is under my chin, turning my face to look at him and his lips connect with mine. I kiss back, knowing I shouldn't have. Poor max, and Celia. I pull way. That felt right. But it was so wrong of us.
"We should go get Celia" I say buckling my seatbelt.
"Uh yeah" kairi says turning and starting the car.
The ride to the airport is around 30 minutes. I turned up the radio when we left but it didnt make things any less awkward.
We stand out front waiting for Celia. When she sees Kairi she runs to hug him. She wasn't too thrilled to see me though.
"Hi, I'm Celia" she says looking at me with her arm around Kai.
"I'm candence" I say smiling.
We walk out to the car and this bitch has the audacity to take my seat up front. I roll my eyes and sit in the back. Only 30 minutes until you're home. I tell myself grabbing the aux.
"I was thinking maybe I could play music" Celia says putting her hand on the cord. She looks at Kairi for approval.
"I told Cadence she could" Kairi says making celia roll her eyes and cross her arms.
"Fine" she dramatically says annoying the hell out of me.
The car ride was long and annoying as hell. Celia wouldnt shut the fuck up and just listen to the music. We pull up in Kais drive way and I immediately get my shit and start walking next door to my house.
"Yall are neighbors" I hear celia say.
"I'll see you later right?" Kairi shouts over to me.
"Probably not. I think imma spend the night at Max's." I respond.
"Whose max?" Celia asks
"Her boyfriend"
"Max Dressler?"
"Nah, Maximo" with that I stop listening to their conversation because her voice makes me want to cut my ears off.
