I feel freezing cold water hit my face and I wake up shooting up in the bed. "Fuck you Mattia" I say throwing something at him while he laughs at me.
"If you'd wake up before 12 I wouldnt have to wake you up."
"If you'd sleep in later you wouldnt be such an ass" I say crossing my arms before laughing and getting changed.
"When are you going to talk to kai?" Mattia asks as I walk back into his room wearing ripped jeans and an Adidas tshirt.
"After breakfast. Let's go." I say grabbing my keys and walking out to my car. Waiting only e few minutes before Mattia comes out of the house in a thrasher shirt and a pair of sweats.
"You know its lunch time right" mattia says getting into my car.
"Yeah, what do wanna go get?"
"Taco bell?"
"Deal" I say backing out of his driveway. In ten minutes I pull into the Taco Bell parking lot. Then I see him. Kissing Celia, in the spot me and the boys always sit.
Mattia follows my gaze and sees them too.
"Oh Cadence, we can go somewhere else" Mattia says looking at me.
"No it's fine, hes not mine anyway" I says swolling the lump in my throat. "Let's go" I say turning my car off and walking in.
"Hey Kai" mattia says dapping him up. "Celia" he says nodding.
Celia has the biggest grin on her face. Looking at Kairi.
"How's your day going" I ask them smiling.
"He asked me out" celia says kissing his cheek. I immediately feel a pang in my heart. My face drops but I immediately smile.
"Wow, I'm really happy for you guys. Uh I have to go to the bathroom, I'll be right back. Mattia, order me whatever you get" I say handing him 10 dollars before turning and fast walking to the bathroom.
I get in and lock the door. Okay it's okay. He wasn't yours anyway. You left your boyfriend for him and he has a girlfriend. But it's fine. I feel a single tear slide down my face.
Quickly I wipe it away and walk back out to everyone. Mattia got us both a crunch wrap and Baja Blast freeze.
"Thank you Mattia" I say sitting next to him and smile. He gives me a subtle 'you good' look and I just give a weak smile and nod.
It's an awkward lunch. Celia's annoying laugh at Kairi whispering in her ear and cuddling her in the seat.
"Ight guys me and Cadence have some plans today, see you later." Mattia says saving me from this.
"Hey Cadence, wanna hang out later? Me and Celia are going to the movies." Kairi says as me and Mattia stand up.
"As much as I'd love to third wheel, I'm gonna have to pass" I respond
"Well we can do a double date, invite Max"
"Me and Max aren't together anymore." I say looking up at Mattia who gives me a quick reassuring look.
"Oh, why?" He asks, Celia annoyed he's expressing so much care.
"He wasn't the one, there's another guy, and he understood, he even thought me and this guy should be together, but that isn't really gonna happen we're still friends. Anyway, me and Mattia have to go. Have a good day Kairi." I smile turning around.
I hear Kairi call me but I ignore him and keep walking. When I'm about to get in the car I feel a hand on my shoulder.
"The other guys, hes me isnt he" kairi asks. I can see Celia upset looking at us from his car.
"Why does it matter Kairi, I have to go." I say turning around. He grabs my arm and turns me around.
"Please tell me"
"It doesnt matter anymore. You have a girlfriend. Shes waiting for you over there. I have things to do today. You get to your girlfriend and I'll go do what I need to. I'll see you later" I say turning around and getting in my car.
"I was a fool, a fool to think hed ever pick me. Let's just go home" I say whipping a tear off my cheek.
"You live next to Kairi, are you sure that's where you wanna go?"
"Can we go to Alejandros?"
"I'll call him."
I listen to them talk for a minute.
"He said we can come, and that he wouldn't invite Kai" Mattia said hanging up.
I drive to Ales, mattia caught him up on everything, I wouldnt take their pitty party though. We made a bunch of tiktoks and watched movies. It was relaxing.
I start scrolling through my fyp when I see a video of Kairi lip syncing to the sound that goes 'man I like that girl too much I wish I never met her'
I look at the comments.

I look on ttr and it's the first post. Celia commented "hes with me yall, it was just a pov, he likes a lot of comments okay"
"He likes a lot of comments okay" mattia mimics from behind me. Making the three of us laugh.
The laughs die down and I get a call
Incoming call from Kai🥺🐀
"Hey" I answer
"When are you coming home?"
"I don't know, I might stay over at Ales"
"Please just come home, we need to talk"
"You have your girlfriend over. Talk to her."
"She went home, flight just left"
"I'm fine here"
"Well I'm not, come over Cadence, your mom is home, your brother asked if I knew where you were, and I need to talk to you"
"Fine, Mattia and Ale want to come to your place though."
"That's fine whatever"
"We'll be over soon"
