Soon I'm parking in my driveway, Kairi sitting on his porch waiting for us. I take a deep breath and walk up to him.
"Hi" I say with a small smile.
"Were you avoiding me? By going with Mattia to Alex's? Why are you avoiding me?"
"I'm here now arent I?"
"I've been trying to text and call, took forever to answer"
"Me, Alex and Tia were hanging out. I wasnt on my phone"
"So tiktoks just magically post on their own now?"
"Were gonna go to your room Kai, meet you there" mattia says as him and Ale leave us.
"Look Kairi, my feelings were hurt and I didnt know how to feel, being here, talking to you, while your girlfriend was just around the corner wasnt going to help me feel any better. That kiss might not have meant much to you, but it meant so much to me. And then you and her started dating. And I'm happy for you, I really am. But sitting and watching her have you was gonna hurt too much. I left my boyfriend for you and you're taken. I needed a break okay, the boys were there for me."
"It could have been you yknow. If you would have just been home"
"And what were you gonna do? Break her heart and have her over for another night until her flight? She was always your choice Kairi, and as much as it hurts to know that you want her instead of me, its was always meant to be this way. You know that. Dont drag me along to choose her over and over. It'll only break my heart. I'm gonna go home, I'll see you whenever I see you" I say walking next door to my house going straight to my room.
I look through the window for a second and see Kairi throw something at the wall, ale and Mattia trying to calm him down. And for the first time in a while, I close my curtains for a more than just a few minutes. I lay in my bed and cry. Cry because I got my hopes up, cry because I left max only.to be the one he didnt choose. Cry because I fell in love with my bestfriend. Cry because it wont ever be the same between us.
Then, there's a knock on my door. "Mom, please go, I want to be alone."
"Honey your friends are downstairs waiting for you. They said you guys are going out tonight."
"Which friends?"
"Just Mattia and Alejandro"
"Tell them we're cancelling, I'm not going out."
"I love you C, I hope you feel better" she says walking away.
I walk to my window and look through the curtains. Kairi, sitting there looking though the window. He has red eyes and you can tell he's been crying. I hope. My window.
"I was hoping you'd come out"
"Here I am"
"I'm really sorry"
"For what Kai? You deserve to be happy, if Celia is what's gonna make you happy then you guys should be together."
"She isnt the girl I should be with"
"She's the girl you chose, she really likes you. You guys are cute together."
"I'm gonna break up with her"
"Whyd would you do that?"
"Because, I chose the wrong girl"
"You should think about it first, before you make any sudden decisions."

"Then who is it?"
