I nearly forget it was this time of year. All the ads started a couple weeks ago, but I simply ignored them. All this talk about merriness and happiness, it feels so foreign. I can't remember the last time I felt happy during the holidays or anytime of year.
I hate the cold. I'm chilled right to the bone. It's not even officially winter yet and I'm already tired of this weather.
It'd be nice to have someone to shop for and to cuddle up to. It'd be nice to feel genuinely happy, even if it were just once a year.
