"He said Americans caught him, few years back." An accent spoke up.

"Americans?"

"Gave him to his brother, bald lookin' fella. You like him though? One. Yeah." Four spoke. "K. He's definitely an arsehole, but a likeable arsehole. No?"

"No." Seven replied to Four coldly.

"Well he likes you." He shrugged.

"Met him when I had nothin, gave me a second chance no one else would've given me. Chance to do something good. Right my wrongs and all that bullshit." Zero sighed, thankful to the man who saved her. Seven nodded.

Unexpectedly, Three strolled into the rusted shipping container with a Cheshire Cat grin on his face.

"We're going to Vegas baby!"

Las Vegas, Nevada.

No stars. The girl sighed as she could see no stars from her hotel suite. She scoffed, months ago, the girl could only dream of a suite. Now, here she was, on a balcony bigger than her old apartment. However, one thing never changed for Iris. The girl couldn't let go. Las Vegas. The city of sin. She heard rumours her ex-boyfriend was spotted here recently.

Calum. The street racer. They met when she first moved from Australia. In Detroit, they fell in love. Iris's thoughts were consumed with the images of his tanned, tattooed arms around her waist. His lips crashing onto hers. Her hands in his dark curls. His hand resting on her leg as they sped around the city in whatever car he drove that week, driving until the sun rose and the stars faded away.

Her mind became twisted in a civil war. One part of her wanted to leave, runaway, find him. If he wasn't in Nevada she would run to Michigan for fucks sake. Give up on the plan. Fuck the team, they would leave her behind in a heartbeat. With him Iris was safe. She was untouchable.

Iris, at that momen, quickly decided her fate. However, when she slowly creaked opened her hotel room door, she was met with a familiar face, wandering the halls.

"Zero? What are you doing up? It's one in the morning." A familiar French accent questioned.

"Guess I could ask you the same question, Two." Iris was now panicked and actually, a little aggravated.

"I was down in the lobby, grabbing snacks from the vending machines. Now, what were you doing?" She coolly replied.

"Yeah, i was just on my way to do the same thing."

"... I lied. There is no vending machines in the lobby."

     Crap.

"I know what you were actually doing." The woman grinned.

     Double crap.

"You do?" Iris exclaimed, she was shocked. How did she know?

"You are going to go see Four!" Two exclaimed, pointing to the girl.

"Hm?!" Was all a shocked zero could muster. She took a breath in. "Oh, Yeah. Dam, guess you caught us."

Two grinned at the girl as she slowly made her way to the male's room, three doors down. Her eyes glued on the younger's every move. As Iris arrived outside the painted wooden door, she raised her arm and knocked three times.

Zero's ears detected a shuffle and heavy footsteps approaching. The sound of the door being unlocked made the girl sigh. The doorknob turned and a sleepy Four stood in front of her. She barged her way in, slamming the door behind them.

"What you doing he-." A confused Four was cut off.

To his surprise, the male was shushed and pushed away. Iris slowly pressed her ear against the thin door, smiling as she heard the satisfying steps of her colleague, walk away.

"Hey blondie." The girl smirked, standing up from the door. She walked around the room and checked for possible exits.

"What you doing here?" Spoke Four, once again.

"Well. I was running away." Pausing by the window.

"You were what! "

"Awh, c'mon blondie. 's nothing personal." Iris chuckled. Now making her way over to the front door.

"Zero, quit fucking joking. You ain't running, not now." His voice raised.

"Oh yes I am." A stubborn iris laughed, reaching for the doorknob.

A large, muscular arm found its way around Zero's waist. The girl was flipped around, turned away from the door, in a spilt second. Four's arm was still snaked around her waist as he looked into her eyes. Still snaked around her waist as she looked into his. However, reality crept back harshly as Four's arm dropped to his side.

"Just thought, thought we could've done some good." The male spoke softly this time, looking to the floor.

Truthfully, he wanted to say something else. Truthfully, he grew fonder of the girl every day.

"I threw everything away for this, Four. Everything for a shot in the dark to do 'some good.' Alright I know I didn't have much, but it was something. Ok? And what do I get as a thanks? A dead friend and a death wish." Iris ranted, angrily.

"You got me."

Silence danced through the air. Iris was speechless. Previously, she never would've given two shits about the man in front of her. However, how he comforted her after Six's death. How he held her that night outside the trailers, and now, how he refuses to let her leave. Iris slowly realises, maybe he isn't that cocky jerk. Although a little part of her screamed, what was he doing? Why on earth was he trying to worm his way into her broken world?

"Look bunny, you gotta let the past go to move on. 's just gonna hurt you even more. Always running back to wherever the fuck you came from. Trust me, been through this shit a million times, wherever you're running back too. It's not worth it."

"I was running back to him." She sighed.

Four's world came to a blazing halt. There was a him. Four had heard Zero speak of her ex before, but it never really sunk in. He comforted her before four did. He held her before four did. He looked at her like she was the only girl in the world, long before he did. Four wanted to be selfish, run off and find this guy. Break his fucking nose. He felt a wave of jealousy take over.

And that's when the man knew, he knew he wanted to be with the girl standing in front of him. He wanted to be the only him she ran too. To be the cause of her waking up every morning and falling asleep every night with a smile. He looked into eyes and knew he had truly, madly, deeply fallen. Foolishly, completely fallen for her.

"C'mon." He sighed, taking her by the hand.

"Where are we going?" Zero questioned, gazing up at him. His heart skipped a beat.

"You need a distraction." He smirked. "Told you I would teach you parkour, didn't I?"

"Fine." The girl matched the cheeky expression on his face. "Distract me, skywalker."

The pair now found themselves on the roof. Were they supposed to be there? Probably not. However, they gave no care to trespassing right now. Four was captivated by the city's skyline. After months of looking at nothing but desert, the bright lights were an acceptable change of scenery.

However, Iris became caught up in a different view. Instead of staring out into the city, she found herself studying Four. Taking in every detail. Her eyes trailed from his scar by his left eye, to the tattoos on his knuckles. She saw Four practically everyday, but never has she seen Four like she does now. In her conclusion, however much she hated to admit. Undoubtedly, Four was simply very attractive to Iris.

"I want you to jump to that rooftop." He turned her to face a large gap between two buildings.

"Hell no."

"C'mon Zero. I wouldn't ask you to do it if I knew you couldn't." His accent, thick.

"Lovely that you believe in me Four. Really. Very sweet. However, that? Fuck no." This earned a chuckle from the male. "I wanted you to teach me simple beginner steps, not throw myself onto a building."

"Where's the fun in that, darlin'." His playful grin shone through, and the girl melted.

As the pair walked closer to the edge, the girl's stomach sunk.  Strangely , when she looked into Four's eyes, she felt safe. As the male made his jump, Iris studied his every move. The run up, the leap, the landing. He was now looking on, anxiously, from the opposite building.

Zero took a deep breath as she reversed, preparing herself for the jump. Cold air bit into her lungs harshly. She pushed aside her fears, and began sprinting. The wind whipped her hair back from her face. As iris grew closer to the edge, she mimicked the male's take off. Her eyes squeezed tightly shut as the rooftop disappeared underneath her feet. Her heartbeat boomed in her ears. After what felt like ten minutes in the air, the girl was back on solid ground.

As she finished the jump with a roll to avoid damage to her legs, she finally opened eyes. Four's hand was outstretched towards her. A genuine smile lit up his face.

"You like doing this?" The female panted

Four grabbed her by the waist, pulling her close to his body, relieved the plan worked and she was back safe on the ground next to him. The girl returned the favour, raising on her toes, wrapping her arms around his neck tightly. It was clear pair fit together perfectly.

"You're fucking crazy blondie."
