A light smile curled your lips as the light singing voices of the diamond's voices rang out across the throne room.

"YEAAH!" You threw your arms up, a bellowing cheer erupting from your mouth at the final verse in a burst of pride an elation for your dearest buddy and foster son, Steven Universe, now the salvation of gemkind.

After years of fighting in an unwitting war, enduring many twists and turns and mending the souls of many gems, he's finally come out victorious!

The war is won! It's over!

Your prideful bellow paused as a soft fist nudged your side. "Shush, (nickname)!" Quickly, you placed your hands back on your lap, a dark (color) blush spreading across your face. "(Name) sorry." you whispered softly. "(Name) just happy for Steven." The pink gem beside you let out an amused cackle and nudged you with her elbow. "Spinel's happy for him to." Said spinel with a wink. "But White's not finished yet!" You nodded in understanding, clasping your hands together, twiddling your thumbs. Spinel giggled and hugged your arm while you grinned in a dopey manner. Sweet little spinel. Even after the hard blow from pink, she still was so goofy and cheery for you. White Diamond waited for you both to settle, with an eyebrow quirked in a mix of amusement and mild exasperation. You were both making quite the racket. After a cool down session and a brief thumbs up from you both, she cleared her throat. Opening a large book, she started to read;

"Once upon a time, the Gem Homeworld was ruled by Diamonds: White, Yellow, Blue, and the littlest Diamond, Pink. While the other Diamonds conquered many worlds across the galaxy, Pink had only one; the planet Earth. One day, Pink fled the comforts of Homeworld. On Earth, she made a new home, new friends, and finally, new life; giving up her form to bequeath her gem to her half-human son."

You felt spinel stiffen at this part and you instinctively wrap your rather fluffy tail around her, and pulled her closer to you, smiling when she relaxed against you. Even if it was still quite uncommon, having a tail did have its perks.

"Without Pink, Gemkind entered an era of despair. But, when Steven Universe learned of his heritage, he reunited with his fellow Diamonds and championed a new era of peace and freedom across the furthest reaches of space."

she then shuts the book, and raises her voice into a cheery chirp. "And now, dear Gems everywhere, I'm pleased to announce that Steven is finally ready to take his rightful place on Pink Diamond's throne!"

After a light fanfare and an uproarious cheer from you and spinel, the now 16 year old Steven then spins to face the camera, smiling brightly into it. "how's it going, everybody?" He greets in his usual, cheery tone.

"YAAAAA, STEVEEEEN!!!" You bellowed proudly, earning you a loud, hissing 'ssssshhhhhhh!!' from spinel and the diamonds. "Keep it down, ya knucklehead!" Spinel scolded, prompting you to look away, chuffing as you crossed your arms into a pout.

After an awkward moment of silence, and an awkward laugh, Steven spoke up. "Ahem, I know you all might be thinking of me as the new Pink Diamond," he began, "but you don't have to put me on a throne. I already have a rightful place, and it's on Earth."

you and spinel's eyes widen in surprise as the diamonds leaned forward in their thrones, quite taken aback. "huh?"

"It's a beach house, where I live with my friends, Garnet, Amethyst, Spinel and Pearl," he directs his look towards you and spinel, the faintest ghost of a sly smirk on his lips. "Not to mention my big, doofy step-mom, (name)," you stuck your (color) tongue out at him playfully, earning a giggle from the boy before he continued. "As much as I've loved dismantling the empire and saving all your planets, I can't wait to get home and spend some quality time with my friends."

"YEAAAAAAAAAH!!!" you cheered loudly, with spinel following suit, not noticing the visibly displeased diamonds. "Cut the feed." white ordered sharply, with the yellow and blue pearls following orders. after having spinel traditionally mount your shoulders, you ran over to Steven and gave the boy a massive bear hug, him wheezing from the grip, but laughing at your affection as you threw him up into the air playfully and catching him into a bridal style carry.

He itched you behind your (length) (straight/curved) horns, causing you to grin and lash your tail in euphoria. he chuckled, slinging an arm around your shoulder while ruffling your hair with his free hand and fist pumping spinel with it before directing his gaze up at the diamonds as you continued to hold him bridal style. "I think that went well." he said casually, not noticing the displeasure of the 3 colossal gems.

"steven, please..." white suddenly spoke, "you can't go..." yellow added desperately. "You must stay..!" Blue pleaded. White came especially close, putting you all on edge. "You're all we have left of pink," she sounded almost pleading, even kneeling down over you all. "Steven. you belong here. With us." They started coming rather close and you set the boy down as you backed up. spinel scrunched her face in discomfort at the looming figures. "Uuhh, guys..?" steven himself looked uncomfortable. "Um... thanks.." he said awkwardly, "but.. no thanks."

then they started to sing to him. Trying to coax him to stay with them. To let them spoil him. To let them adore him. though they tried to come off lovingly, they came out more... clingy... it didn't help that they came... incredibly close. more closer than you were comfortable with. "You guys have really gotten better at showing affection," steven awkwardly observed. "Too much affection.." you muttered loud enough for spinel to hear and giggle at. "But I've got my own life to get back to. Don't forget, I'm not Pink Diamond..." you nodded and pointed to him. "He Steven Universe!" he nods firmly, smiling at your dopey vouch, in which they ignore completely.

"yes, we know you aren't her, but you were hers."

They inch closer and closer until you were forced into the ground on all-fours, with spinel crouched into your fluffy (color) hair and steven skittered backwards on his back against the warp pad, laughing nervously. "Thanks, but I really gotta go," the diamonds then became desperate. "But Steven!"

"I've disbanded my armies! I've liberated my colonies!" Yellow exclaimed.

"I never shatter. I never make anyone cry." Blue added.

"I've been saying "please" and "thank you", even to lower life forms." white added in.

You tipped your head to the side. "lower?" at this white gave an indignant grunt. "Equal life forms." Still getting used to things.. The desperate diamond inched closer. "Steven, we've done everything you've asked!"

"That's great!" steven exclaimed.

"Great job! Keep it up!" you chirped.

"I'll be back with ya in a bit!" Spinel pipes.

"BYE!" you all said in unison as you warped out of the throne room.
