Spoilers if you haven't read the first book, dudes.
~~~~~~~ A day later, you walk down the boardwalk of beach city, occasionally waving to a passing patron or looking up at the many establishments the boardwalk had to offer, often contemplating whether or not to go in.
During this time, unfortunately, your mind couldn't help but wander back to poor prideful jasper, who couldn't see past her own nose... or... gem.
You snorted at your thoughts, shaking your head. "Stupid thoughts." You rumbled to yourself as you paused your walk, placing your hands on your hips and look around the many establishments beach city's boardwalk had to offer. "What to do today?" You looked down in thought, mulling the many possibilities in your head, twitching your tail subtly in contemplation. "Hmph..."
"(Naaaaame)!"
You snapped your head up at a voice erupting from behind you as quick paced footsteps steadily approach you.
What in the-?
Before you knew it, someone had climbed up your back and clasped a set of hands over your eyes, eliciting a startled cry from you as you staggered back. As you flailed your arms wildly in fear, you heard light giggling, before a playful voice asked: "guuueeess who?"
From the sound of their voice, they seem more excited then murderous. If anything, they sounded genuinely happy to see you. That's good... after stopping your staggering and taking a deep breath to steady yourself and recover from your initial shock, you get to contemplating as to who could've been bold enough to scare the living light out of you.
the voice...
the small hands...
thin arms...
small frame...
"Spinel?" you guessed slowly.
There was a playful huff and you felt them shake their head behind you. "Nope! Guess again!" You uttered a dopey 'uh' in response which made the being giggle lightly in amusement. apperantly, something about this was amusing to them. After a period of quiet silence, she hums softly. "Here's a hint..." her voice suddenly took on a sing-song tone.
"Youlove chips..."
Your eyes widened behind the hands.
Slowly, you added in,
"..and I love chips.."
You heard another giggle as your mouth stretched into a jovial smile, as you happily finished the final verse with her.
"We love chips from chaaaps! yeah!"
The pair of hands slid off your eyes and moved your bangs, revealing the familiar, beautiful gemstone, looking similar to that of an eye staring into yours. "Long time no see, fluffy!"

"Centi!"
A happy giggle bubbled out of her as she turned and pressed a quick peck into your cheek. "It's nephrite now, silly!" She corrected lightly, to which you snickered in amusement. "Then.. Nephi?" you quiped, making her playfully roll her gemstone eye in mock annoyance. "That'll work." She carefully climbed your shoulder and made her way to your front, slinking herself into your arms, the two of you giggling all the while. Once she was situated, you spun her around briefly, hugging her and laying kisses all over face. It's been so long since you've last seen your dear corruption buddy. Ever since the healing, you've been too wrapped up with trying to tie up the remaining ends, you were barely able to catch up with your first corruption friend.
After a while, you finally stop, smiling brightly at the small green gem as you held her up under her arms. "How's nephi been? Nephi adjust well to era 3?" Nephrite smiled brightly, kicking her feet playfully as you set her down, resting your hands on her shoulders. "Oh, it's great, (nickname)!" She chirped cheerily. "There's so many things to learn about earth! And the best part is not having to worry about being poofed for a teeny mistake!" She giggles then places her hands on yours. "How about you and the others? Have you been doing well?" Your smile wilted ever so slightly, but still held a cheery air. "Steven and gems busy running school and helping other gems adjust. Spinel is currently with the diamonds. (Name) by herself today." You finished with a nonchalant shrug and a little side smile.
Nephrite seems excited by this answer, as she gasped subtly. "Ooh, if you're free than we definitely should try catching up!" She clasps both her hands over her wrists excitedly. "There's so much I want to tell you!" Her eye suddenly widens at a realization. "Oh! That reminds me!" She starts tugging on your arm excitedly. "C'mon, let's head down to fish stew pizza! There's something you gotta see!"
With a light-hearted laugh, you allow the small gem to tug you along to the pizza establishment. ~~~~~~~~~~~
Finally, am I right?
Nephrite looks off here, but I may redraw this later. >_>
But yeah, against my better judgement, imma be updating this more frequently.
But imma tell you, the updating will be slow because I'm still working on reader's past. :P
