I woke up to fighting. My vision blurred. The voices sounded as if they were Alec's and Luke's. But why would they be fighting?

"Why the hell did you give her that much dust?! You could of fucking killed her!" Alec yelled.
"As if." Luke snorted.
"Luke. She could have died!"
"Well she didn't."
"But she hasn't woken up for two fucking weeks!! Is that normal?!"
"No really..." Luke admitted.
"See?! How the fuck can you be sure that she's okay?!"
"Please, Alec," I said, my voice hoarse and soft, "I'm okay. See? I'm awake and I'm talking."
"Katie!" He yelled running over to me. I smiled. His eyes were full of worry and sadness.
"See I told you she was fine." Luke said in a smug voice.
"Fuck up, Luke."
"Ohh, I'm so hurt." He replied sarcastically, dramatically holding his hand on his heart. Alec rolled his eyes, and Luke pulled a face when he turned and faced me. I glared at Luke. "What?" He asked when Alec turned around and looked at him.
"Nothing." Alec replied, scowling.
"Okay, let me up." I replied sitting myself up.
"You can't get up yet." Alec said.
"Oh, yes I can." I replied getting up out of the bed and almost falling over. Alec ran over to me and grabbed my arm. My legs felt like jelly, and they seemed extremely heavy. I couldn't lift them, nor even stand on them. I dragged my foot along the floor, shuffling towards the door.

Alec helped me walk over into the lounge room. I saw everyone sitting there. Everyone expect Blake. I felt sad. And I fought back my tears. No way was I going to cry. Not now. Not ever.

"Katie!" James yelled. I smiled a little.
"Hi." I replied.
"Yes I am. Well I was.." He said hugging me. I laughed.
"HEY!! That's my line!" Adam yelled.
"Of course you were." I laughed.
"Yep." James replied.

James sat back down and Adam came up to see me. "How you feeling?" He asked.
"Fine. Why?" I asked.
"Luke is a dickhead. That's why."
"Shut up!" Luke yelled angrily.
"Not until you admit that you are a dickhead." Adam replied.
"Fuck off!" Luke yelled.
"Hey! Don't get all pissy with me. I'm not the one who almost killed Alec's girlfriend. You should ashamed."

And then Luke lunged at him, tackling him to the ground. "Luke you idiot! Get off!" Adam yelled as he punched him. Then instead of hitting Luke back, Adam sprayed him with water. Well not really sprayed. He was drenched after that. "Fucking hell," Luke cursed, "now I need to have a fucking shower."
"No you don't. I just gave you one." Adam replied.
"Fuck up you." He replied angrily walking away to what I guessed could only have been the bathroom.

I heard a bark, and then Nirvana came running up to me, tackling me making me fall to the ground. She licked my face happily. "Nirvana. Down down!" I said and she sat down in front of me. I gave her a quick scratch under her chin and on her chest before Alec dragged me to the kitchen.

Oooo~oooO

Two hours later I was sitting on a horse. Yes a horse. Alec had a horse. Well more then one actually. Nirvana was running around in circles happily, not really sure where to go.

The gelding I was on was a shire. His big fluffy feet stamped on the ground in an attempt to shoo away flies but of course, it didn't work. His beautiful smokey grey coat shimmered in the sun, and his mane blew slightly with the small breeze.

"Why am I doing this again?" I asked.
"Because tomorrow we are leaving."
"Why?!" I asked alarmed.
"We aren't going that far. We just can't stay here. If I'm here and you're here they will come here."
"And who are they again?"
"The boys at the cemetery."
"You mean, the ones that took Nessie?"
"Yes."

A moment of silence passed before I asked, "why did they take Nessie?"
"You'll find out," Alec replied quietly, "now take him for a ride."
"I'm not sure if I want too."
"Katie... I know you can ride. Now ride!" Alec yelled and slapped the shire on the butt. I was expecting him to take off, but he just started walking at a pretty slow pace.

"Come on Katie! You can ride faster then that!" I heard Adam yell. I smiled and urged the gelding into a canter. Any faster and I probably would have fallen off. Alec had made me do jumps and twists and turns, which I wasn't used to doing anymore. But I still could do it. It was in my blood. Nirvana was still running along side me, but instead of jumping the jumps she crawled under them, not even worried that the gelding was going to squash her. And then I remembered. I didn't have a hemet on. That was dangerous. What if I fell off? But I wouldn't fall off, right?

My thinking was interrupted by the cheering that the boys were doing. If only Blake were here to see this...

But Katie, I am here....

My eyes widened as I pulled the gelding to a stop in front Adam and Alec. "What's wrong?" Alec asked.
"Nothing." I replied robotically after I dismounted the gelding.
