Chapter Five

Rage. The rage was storming inside Sunako, untamed, and lying in wait. Everything is currently a mess for Sunako. Her emotions are pain, anger, and sorrow. Her mind is jumbled, she is currently trapped in her own labyrinth. The warmth never left her chest, it instead increased, it got more prominent to the point of danger. Both to herself and to the boy she'll soon face.

Sunako is currently waiting in the tunnel for her cue. It felt like hours had gone by but in reality it had only been minutes. Her next opponent would be Todoroki. The boy who dared her to win, and win she'll do. But the idea of winning became fogged over by her own emotions. The truth that she learned earlier still fresh in her mind. Questions lingered and itched her being.

"The first match of the semi finals!"

"We have a ferocious sorceress, who fought her way to the semi finals! The only lady who made it this far! Sunako Hamada!"

Cheers sounded loud for her, Sunako walked out of the shadows of the tunnel,  walking in a calm pace. But little do they know, that this was only the calm before the storm.

"Versus, he's icy cold, and he's spicy hot, Shouto Todoroki!"

Sunako stood in the platform, facing the individual who plagued her mind. He got what he asked her for, to fight her, and for her to fight him. Earlier, Sunako was worried about his fire problem, but now that she's in a messy situation, she could care less. But with a little bit of push towards her own will, she managed  to pull herself together.

Shouto was confused when he gazed at the girl he's facing. She looks..broken.
The challenge and determination that he saw earlier when she fought seemed to smother down. He didn't see her after her fight with Iida, he got a tad bit worried but chose to let it go. He didn't want to fight her when she's like this, he wanted to see her fight even more fiery when she fought her last opponents. But he did not back down, he challenged her earlier and she accepted, there's no holding back in this.

"Ready?!.. Start!!"

Sunako saw Todoroki ready his stance. A very familiar stance that she saw in his previous fights. Ice emerged from under his feet in a rapid pace, forming a massive structure ready to strike her.

Sunako raised her hand, she had predicted his move, red orb formed in her palm, glowing brighter than it did before. As Todoroki's ice began to approach closer to her, the moment it began to pull apart.

The ice started to tear in pieces the more it got closer to her. Todoroki stopped his assault. He paused when be saw his ice disintegrate into nothing. He was so confused, he expected for her to put a force field to stop his attack, but the move that she pulled was new to him.

"Whaat?! Where did the ice go?! Hamada remains untouched!"

Todoroki squinted his eyebrows, and clenched his fists. He sent another attack with his ice, but this time with much more power and mass.

Sunako tore apart the new batch of ice Todoroki sent after her. It parted in the middle and the leftover pieces flew left and right. Sunako grew frustrated, Todoroki challenged her and he isn't even fighting? The warmth inside her grew more violent.

She picked up the medium sized pieces of ice with her telekinesis, they began to circle her menacingly. With a clench of her hand, the ice began to charge towards Todoroki in a high velocity.

Todoroki saw the incoming attack, he slammed his palm into the ground, ice forming from the contact. A massive wall of ice emerged from the ground in front of him. The rocketing ice crashed hard into the wall, protecting him. But it brought down the wall in the process, leaving him vulnerable once again.
