10: A Day Out

~first POV~
    It was midday and we all finished playing ball early since Benny hit the ball over the fence.
"So what should we do today to celebrate yesterday's win?"
I looked at Benny for an answer and then turned to the guys. After a couple minutes of thinking Squints mentioned that there would be a carnival in town. "That's a good idea! But what should we do now in the meantime?" Asked Benny. I looked down and then I came up with an idea. "What if we all go to the ice cream shop and get a Sunday or somethin?" All their faces lit up as we all agreed.

We all met up at the Ice Cream shop after an hour of getting cleaned and ready. I ordered a strawberry ice cream cone while everyone ordered different flavors such as chocolate, mint, fruit, and vanilla. Benny however, got the same as me. I smiled just thinking about it but quickly dismissed it in my head. We all sat down on a bar table looking thing and I had Benny in my right and Smalls on my left.
"This is by far one of the best Ice creams I've ever eaten." Benny and Smalls chuckled at my statement and continued eating their ice cream. Once we all finished we decided to go home and get ready for the carnival which started in an hour and a half. I brushed my hair, changed into comfortable clothing, and brushed my teeth.. just in case.. again.. heh.
"Bye mom see you in a few!"
"Bye y/n! Don't stay out too long and be careful!"
"Don't worry i won't!"
And with that we all walked down the street. We passed by the Tiger's field, passed the Vincent liquor store, and finally made it to a place where there's usually open grass but now replaced with carnival rides. Ham pushed by all of us, "What are we waiting for!? Let's go!"

"Alright everyone! Everything's on me!" Benny stated, I didn't want him to waste money on me!
"Hey no, it's okay! I brought my own dollars!"
"No y/n, it's okay, I got this for today."
I let out a small sigh and waited till he finished paying.
Before we attempted to climb on board, Bertram called us out. "Hey guys! I almost forgot! I've been saving this for a special occasion."
"What is it?"
"Chaw! All the pros do it!"
I decided not to take some and surprisingly Benny didn't either. Before we could get on the ride Benny stopped me.
"Yeaaa, i wouldn't go in there."
"Why not?"
Is he bonkers? This is one of my favorite rides!
I gave him a questioning look, he hesitated before finally speaking. "They're gonna puke, and you wouldn't want to get all that on your clothing."
"I guess you're right, where do you wanna go?"
"Wanna look around?"
"Sure!"
We looked around and of course a Ferris wheel came into view, but I quickly rejected the idea knowing it would be too cheesy or a very cliché move. We kept walking and found some bumper cars. We hopped on and drove them. He bumped into my cart multiple times and so did I. I bumped into Benny's cart making my head fall forwards while I was laughing like a lunatic! When we got off we were both laughing.
"That was so fun!!" I was barely able to stand with so much laughter. Benny was holding me up while he was laughing as well. "It sure was, hey.. wanna go to the Ferris wheel?" I noticed that the wheel came into view again and gladly accepted the idea.
"Yup!"

We got on and we were at the top; the view was amazing! I could see the lights of the small town and to top it off, the bright moon; and the stars scattered all across the sky like white freckles.
"The view is amazing!"
"It sure is!" I smiled at him and he smiled back, which sent butterfly's flying in my stomach. I have never felt emotions like these, we stared into each other's eyes for a couple of seconds until I heard the guys yelling from the bottom of the wheel.
"WE GOTTA GOO!!"
"YEAH-YEAH I DONT FEEL TOO GOOD!"
"LETS GO BENNY MAN!"
"C'MON LOVEBIRDS!"
I looked back at Benny and shrugged.

We were already on our way back to my house,
"Bye guys.."
"Bye Smalls." I felt bad for Smalls because of his sick stomach but it was his choice to take the tobacco.
"Hey y/n? I had a good time today."
"Me too, thank you for buying my ticket, you know you didn't have to do that."
"I know, but it was my treat, plus, I wouldn't be much of a gentlemen if I made you pay your ticket."
"But I offered, you didn't—"
"I said it was okay!" He leaned in to me and kissed my cheek. With that I was quiet as a mouse.
"Bye y/n!" Before he ran off however, he came back. "By the way... would you like to go to the treehouse tomorrow again?"
"Of course, I'll ask my parents."
With that he gave me one last smile and ran off home. I stared until he was no longer in sight and i went in my house. I cleaned myself up and got ready for bed.
Boy how I'm falling for him.
