"You have no idea" Tulip grumbled as she raised the glass bottle to her lips. She hated beer. She hated most alcohols in all truth but she drank it more for the effects rather than the flavor. The malt taste stayed in her mouth more than she cared for. It wasn't like she could complain, so she kept quiet.

Henry got it for her and she wouldn't dare insult such a generous offer. He rarely did things like that.

Looking around at the group she sighed as her eyes landed on Jade. "Sit down" she said sternly, leaning over the other side of her chair she pulled another bottle from the six pack beside her. Grabbing her bottle opener she hazardously popped it open then handed it over without another word.

"Patrick when are you gonna start this fucking fire? I'm fucking freezing" she swore at him her tone almost challenging. "Go put on a jacket, princess, and zip it. Okay?" He fired back only now getting up to start the bonfire

"Call me that again and I'll set your clothes on fire" she grumbled and leaned back in her chair. The sun had begun to set and it was almost dark. It was beautiful at first glance but after that it faded. It felt cold and the humidity turned into a sudden damp feeling.

"I'm guessing you guys don't get along?" Jade spoke up looking at her. She had listened to Tulip and taken a seat in the grass. She would of offered a chair if there were any left, ever since Vic broke one trying to do a handstand on it they were a single chair short.

"Pats a fucking pervert. He's crazy, not a fun combo" she explained and sighed bringing the back of her wrist to her forehead to wipe it with the black bandana adorning the skin. "That's why Henry said for him to stay away from you in the car... He doesn't want Pat to get the hots for ya. When Patrick wants something he gets it, hell, one time he wanted to fuck this chick so bad he drugged her at homecoming and fucked her in the back of Belch's car".

Tulip took pride in the sudden fear that seemed to etch it's way onto the other girls face. "I'm fucking with you" she said with a laugh. Looking around at the boys and snickering. Her head turned to the seemingly socially awkward girl beside her. "You smoke?" She asked.

"Smoke what?" Jade asked in response, her eyebrow raised in question.

Tulip was cross faded and instead of relaxing she was using all self restraint to keep herself in her chair. She really needed to stop drinking. It was getting out of hand.  It wasn't that she didn't like the drinking or the company by any means but she knew what kind of drunk she was. She hated it but she was a clingy drunk. Usually she would sit with one of the boys. Sometimes curling up into their sides if they let her.

It was the only source of calmness she ever got. Her life was hectic and loud so the quiet was nice, it was welcomed.

But now? Now there was a new girl and she had to be tough. Keep up the persona. She wanted nothing more than sit beside her friends and be held in comfort. But it didn't matter now. Vic looked over to them and arched a brow. "Hey.. T, you're brooding. What? Did Bowie insult your hair again" he teased as she rolled her eyes.

"Vic. I could punch you right now and not feel sorry" Tulip stood up the fire between them was the only thing stopping her from going up to him. "You say that every fucking day" he shot back. "Okay? And doesn't mean it's not true" she fired at him, both parties breaking into sly grins. "I could say the same thing about you, now sit down fuckface" Vic chuckled and Tulip laughed with him letting the tension go.

Belch was grabbing his third beer and looked up to the group. "Hey Henry, we got that party coming up this weekend. Do you still want to go?"

"Of course we're going" Henry told him with a smile. "Sams start of summer parties are fucking killer. Why wouldn't we?" He continued arching a brow at the other.

"Just asking since we're gonna have company now"
