The sun was slowly rising, spreading hue of pink along the sky. Birds sang in its own rhythm being melodious music for two ears. Ashi sipped her coffee and watched the moving world with her dark brown hazel eyes. She shook her head to the waves of her mother's devotional songs. The morning was filled with positivity and Ashi hoped it to be with her, the rest of her life.
Her phone vibrated and she picked it up to her ear.
"Yes."
". . . "
"Really? Thank you." Her face was lit up by the news she heard and she thanked the god.
"Mumma!" She screamed to inform the good news to her most important person in the world. Her mother. She was her forever close friend and a vital member in her life. There was no response from her side.
Ashi's phone beeped. She scrolled through the notifications in instagram and a particular video caught her eyes. The interview took on her birthday; last day in yeh un dinon ki baat hai sets, 12th August 2019.
The joy in her eyes gradually faded. The sound waves from the speaker of her phone reached her ears.
The voice.
His voice.
Those words out of his mouth, still caused her goosebumps.
"Kuchtohlikhahai . . . "
She didn't know what he meant for those words. But for her, it was her love.
Long forgotten, hidden, died love.
Did really her love die? _________________________________________
