Her fingers grazed the metal in sedate way. A small chuckle escaped her mouth. It was an award for them. The world proclaimed them as best jodi. It felt great. It felt jittery. It felt happy. It felt sad too. It wasn't about the world, but the person who involved in it should realise. That was not going to happen. Atleast, she could enjoy such things in reel.

She blinked away the brewing tears and pasted a victorious grin on her face. It was not the time to sob. It was the time to enjoy and cherish to the fullest. She got an award for her show. Not for them. It was for SamAina. She should be happy for SamAina, if not for her.

A firm hand clasped her wrist abruptly, and she was tugged into the geniality of Randeep. His gleaming eyes and shining smile greeted her. Her face softened. The smile was enough for her to be in relief. It was a soothing one.

"Zain!" Randeep whined.

Zain put both his hand up and said, "I thought fans would love some candid."

Randeep glared at him and soon Zain turned away, hiding his smile. Randeep turned to Ashi, who stood puzzled. Her indigo blue eyes were boring into his. Seeing her bewitching face so close made him startled. Why do girls become more beautiful when they are not in touch with you?, he thought. He glanced away, not ready to lose himself again.

His hands slid on her waist and he hauled her closer to him, causing her to gasp. His musk scent intoxicated her being and the world around her halted for a moment. It was only his face, that was before her. His loud voice escorted her out of his world. She smirked.

He was the one, who built it.

Also, he was the one who crashed it.

"Mr. Photographer, can you please take a photo?" He spoke to Zain. Ashi glanced at him. His hand were still embracing her and she pondered if should she do the same. Quivering, her hands went to his waist. Only now she noticed, his coat had texture akin to her garb's delineation. Her lips stretched and smile curled up her lips. Within all this, her gaze was clipped on their hands that met, as they supported each other.

"Ashi." His voice made her startled. She glanced up. Her eyes met his. Time seemed to stand still, waiting for them to blink and realise the world around them.

Zain was the one, who broke the eyelock. "Can I?" He asked Randeep with mock in his voice.

The duo posed, holding the symbol of their amazing chemistry. An enchanting smile was plastered on their face. The spark in their eyes told stories of pain, hurt, elation, confusion and love.

Ashi parted away as soon as they clicked the pictures. Randeep too became busy in clicking solo pictures with the award. But the memories behind the award kept roaming in their mind, as a sweet moment to cherish for him and a deep scar to forgetting for her.

After all, it was 'Best Jodi Award - Jeevansathi'. A jodi always contained of two.

Not one.

Darkness engulfed the world wholly and gloomy clouds surrounded the gleaming pearl ball, that hung down the indigo. Twinkling stars hid themselves behind the dusky airspace. Moonlight that was peeking through curtains of a room gradually faded and a wakeful human, laying on bed sat up. The black suit he wore for the night was resting on the couch opposite to him and his gaze was fixed on it. Exhausted with the day, he needed a good sleep. But, sleep planned to not to visit him the night.
