As the sun emitted light to the world through the white ball, the brightness of the world dulled down and the sky was covered with a thick indigo black blanket from light blue. Giant stars looked like mini shining beads from earth. The air was filled with aroma of positivity and everyone at the Nehru stadium hope to hold the metal.
Randeep settled on the chair and sighed. Adjusting his coat, he gazed around. Everyone was busy talking. He checked his watch; there was time for the program to begin. His phone rang.
'Zain.' It read and he was about to swipe the green symbol when a familiar feminine fragrance tickled his nostrils. He shot up his eyes immediately from his phone and his breath was jabbed at the vertex of his throat. His phone fell to his lap. Poor Zain was left unanswered.
His orbs opposed to move away from the doorway. Eyes bordered with eyeliner, eyelashes darkened and elongated with mascara, eyelids coated with light brown eyeshadow and at last those blue lens made those orbs more arresting. Long tresses were left to flow in the air, curled in the end. Lips were painted with pinky red causing it to be more tantalising. As his eyes went down, pile of integument were present alternative than other days, causing his throat to go dry. The indigo garb flowed like a river, decorated with things at perfect area, making it fascinating.
And, there stood she; Ashi Singh, with her hand around the arm of Karan Sharma, which Randeep neglected. His focus was only on the mini fairy that was present in the hall, only to tease his control. Ashi's legs motioned to the direction of Randeep and his breath became fluctuating. His lips quivered in nervousness and he combed his hair anxiously, preparing himself to match her grandeur. The great charming Randeep Rai, crush of million girls, doubted his elegance for the first time in his lifetime for his co-actor, really?!
He pushed down his head, fighting with his stubborn heart and acted to be engaged in his phone as Ashi neared him. Her Wisteria ambrosial fragrance stimulated him and he shut his eyes to inhale it more into him.
Behind him sat Karan with Ashi next to him. He bit his lower lip, managing his urge to turn back. A hit on his shoulder made him frown and glance up.
"How many times should I call you to make you pick up?" Zain grumbled and sat beside Randeep, right before Ashi.
"What's the need of calling me?" Randeep queried and put down his phone, which he was gazing for a long time, his mind stuck another thing. He sighed in relief; now there was no need to stare at the boring phone. He turned to the side of Zain slightly, in spite of initiating a conversation. The actual reason was, he could see Ashi through the corner of his eyes. She was speaking on her phone excitedly, flaming a fire in his stomach. He might be a little over, but he anticipated Ashi to sit near him which he knew won't happen. Afterall, she didn't even notice him. Disappointment hung his face low and he listened to Zain to lift up his mood.
"Kya tum nahi chaahte ki main tumhaare saath baithoon?" Zain questioned with little anger in his voice.
Randeep shook his head horizontally and grinned, muttering a 'no' to which he received a strike with a 'shut up'. "Okay, okay. Tell why you called."
"I wanted to know where you are sitting." Zain informed in a uninterested tone and gazed around, taking in the people present.
Ashi stared at his head intensely. If she had a power to burn with intense gaze, Randeep's luscious silky locks would be in fire right then. A pale smile appeared her face and she remembered how he didn't even notice her while she entered. He was so focused on his dumb phone. She wondered what it showered him that he was so attentive to it. Ashi took care of her make up much this time. Though, she tried to ignore his thoughts while getting ready, her mind was constantly moving to side of imagining his reaction to her outfit.
