I quickly got dressed in skinny jeans, a t-shirt and my vans. I did my hair, applying a little bit of make-up.

"Mum!!" I yelled as I grabbed my purse and phone.

"Yeah, Kaelyn?" She called from the kitchen.

"I am going out with Shelby, I will be back in a couple of hours." I said as I walked in.

I sat at the breakfast bar thing, waiting for Shelby since it had only taken me 10 minutes to get ready.

"Okay. Do you need money?" She asked, washing her hands before reaching for her purse.

"No, I have some already. Mmm... What are you making?" I asked, noticing the wonderful smell.

"Nutella cookies and brownies." She smiled.

"Yum!" I exclaimed. My mum laughed.

"Thank you." She smiled.

"I gotta go, Shelby is ready. Bye!" I said, giving her a quick hug. I grabbed my jacket and ran outside to meet Shelby. We lived right next to each other, which is awesome because we are really close, we have been friends since we were 7.

"Ready slow-poke?" I teased as she walked out of her house. She had always taken forever to get ready, having to wake up a half an hour earlier to get ready for school.

She rolled her eyes. "My hair isn't as easy to maintain."

"Excuses, excuses." I laughed.

"Whatever." She laughed.

"Where are we going first?" I asked her as we walked.

"I was thinking Starbucks, unless you wanna go to a few stores first."

"That's fine, and you don't have to buy mine."

"Kaelyn." She stopped.

"Yes?" I stopped and turned to her.

"I am buying your drink. End of story." She said before continuing to walk.

"Okay, okay, but I buy next time."

"Fine." She rolled her eyes as we walked into Starbucks.

"What can I get you two girls today?" The cashier person asked.

"A large vanilla frappuccino." I told him.

"And a large caramel macchiato." Shelby said, taking out some money.

"Okay, and do you want your docket?"

"Yes, please." Shelby smiled.

"Here you go." He said as he handed us our drinks and Shelby's docket(receipt).

"Thank you!" We said in unison while heading to go out.

We walked around, occasionally going into a store and buying a few things. After walking for a while, we heard some music and saw a crowd.
