You were a normal girl, you owned your own coffee shop where you had worked every day. It was another late night for you, since the last customer did not leave till eleven. Once the last customer had left you walked to the door, turning the sign to say closed. Heading to the kitchen you began to make fresh dough for tomorrow, soon enough you finished.

You managed to get flour all over but in your mind it was worth it. You were living your best life and you couldn't ask for more. You were cleaning up the kitchen when you heard the bell of the front door opening. Sighing you wondered sometimes if people could actually read or not. You walked out to the front to see a tall figure he was panting and looked in a panic. You sighed as you put your hands on your hips

"Excuse me but can you not read. The sign says closed." You didn't mean to be rude but you were tired and you just wanted to go home. The person ignored you and you just rolled your eyes "hello?" she said, holding out the ending.

You got behind the counter "well if you aren't gonna leave you are gonna have to buy something." You said as you put your hands onto the counter. "So what can I get you?" You said.

As you did this the boy began to turn around. He looked you in the eyes and then back at the door. He heard the sound of yelling and hurried footsteps. The boy then began to run behind the counter. "What are you doing knock it off." You say as you walked away from him, he grabbed you by the leg and then began to speak in a whisper.

"Please don't let them know I'm here or they'll kill me." His voice in a whisper. You were confused about his words. You were about to say something but before you could someone else was walking through the door. You quickly looked down and saw the boy pleading not to tell them. Gulping you looked back at the people who had walked through the door. They did not look happy, this made you become nervous but you spoke.

"Can you not read the sign that says closed." You say with some sass in your voice. The room was silent for a moment, but that's when one of the men just smirked at you. He began to walk forward and put his hands on the counter leaning forward toward you. This caused you to take a step back, but the man only grabbed you by the collar, and brought you forward as he began to speak.

"I don't give a crap what the sign says princess, I saw the man I'm looking for come in here so where is he?" He said grinding his teeth as his grip on your shirt became tighter causing you to go onto your tiptoes. You gulped as you put your hands onto his arm

"I don't know who you are talking about, it's just me." You said struggling a bit. As you spoke you moved your foot a bit lifting up the rug to show the hidden passage under it that was mainly use for storage. You were trying to signal him to go under. You felt him tap your foot knowing he got the message, the man then quietly went in. The man just chuckled and looked down and then back at you
