Yue presses the buzzer and the door opens. A petite and pixie looking girl is standing on the other side with a warm and friendly smile. Yue speaks, slightly hesitant.

"You must be Li Jia Qi?"

"Yes that's right, and you must be Shen Yue?"

"Hi, nice to finally meet you after all this talking via phone and email. Please call me Yue."

"Nice to meet you too. Just Jia is fine . Please come in and let me show you to your room."

Yue walks in, wheeling two large suitcases and a satchel on her back. Jia immediately helps her with one of the bags.

"So as you can see this is the living room, you are more than welcome to share my TV with me... just don't delete any of my shows." She laughs, good-naturedly. "On the left is the kitchen, the first room on the right is mine... then here is the bathroom." She opens the door, gesturing with her hand. "There's a separate toilet just next door...and your room is right here, at the end of the hall."

Jia opens the door to a sunny and cosily neat looking room. Yue can't help but smile, pleased with how it looks.

"I take it you like it?" Jia asks, noting Yue's expression.

"I love it. I think I'm going to have a good time living here." She smiles.

"Great! I think you and I will get along just fine." Beams Jia. "Let me help you unpack."

"Oh...thank you. That's so kind of you."

"It's nothing really, was feeling a bit bored before you arrived."

They start to unpack Yue's stuff and Jia starts to ask Yue questions.

"Did you live in a dorm before deciding to move into an on campus apartment?"

"Uh no...I was living at home, but it's a 30 minute commute, and I decided that for my last year I wanted more of the college experience, before heading out into the work force... I've always lived at home, and you know how it is... with parents."

"Yup..." Jia nods knowingly. "Tell me about it!"

"Anyway, I didn't want to share a dorm room with 3 other girls so this was the best option for me."

"Oh it's your last year? We must be the same age because it's also my last year."

"Well I'm actually 23...uh... I took a year off....before coming to university."

"Oh so you are just one year older than me. But lucky you, I wanted a break after school but my parents wouldn't hear of it." Jia rolls her eyes and sighs. "So it was straight from the high school classroom to the university one."'You must have had so much fun on your gap year."
