Home. Home was all Sam could think about. But it was gone, the capital destroyed the twelfth district of Panem after the incident at the quarter quell. As Far as Sam knew, all of the tributes where killed after the screens went black. Now he was scavenging for any thing to eat or a better shelter then his sad shack he now called home. He wore a green army like jacket, blue jeans, his old shoes, and his black back pack on one shoulder. He walked for miles till he came to the building that was once the black market. But before entering, he noticed a small house still intact. The market can wait a moment He thought. He jogged towards the small house, ready for what ever came next. He tried the door, " that's not moving any time soon." He sighed. Sam went around the side where he found a window, and of course, he climbed in the window.

His feet dropped onto the dusty floor. nothing had been touched in this house for ages, not even animals dared to make homes in this small old house. Sam crept quietly to the kitchen, where he shoved tons of canned food in his pack. He was about ready to head to the old market, when he saw a book, wait no, it was a old diary. It was just sitting there, on the wood table by the kitchen collecting dust. What is this? he reached down and picked up the book, he turned to the first page, and there in beautiful handwriting, "Cassandra's diary"
