Xander POV
"Tap out!" She said in a harsh tone as she was choking me. I tapped out. "And we have a new winner!" the announcer yelled as the girl who just kicked my ass got off me. A smile tugged at my lips. No one has ever beaten me at a match. I heard her mutter some inaudible words to the announcer. And she took the microphone and said into it "Anthony! You owe me a hundred bucks!" She pointed at a boy with his mouth shaped like an 'o'. I laughed along with the people in the crowd. The girl who whooped my ass looked down at me. My eyes were filled with admiration and my mouth was wide open but no words came out. I stood up and walked towards her and suddenly words came out "What's your name?" She answered in a calm voice "Maya."

"Do you believe in love at first sight? Or do I need to walk by again..." I put my hand out for her to shake. Maya put her hand in mine and gently shook it "Congratulations!" I said to her. Maya smiled and took her hand away from mine. I started searching spandex shorts pockets and said in a frantic voice "I seem to have lost my phone number! Can I have yours?" I smirked, for a second she seemed concerned and then realized I had just given her a cheesy pick-up line. "Wow!" Her eyes widened "That was so... cheesy!" she started to walk off the stage. I ran after her. "Is your name Ariel cause I think we mermaid for each other." Maya laughed and smiled at me "Do you really want to get my phone number that badly?" "Do I need to use another pick-up line?" I asked raising my eyebrows. She shook her head. A smile was placed on my lips.

"If I give you my number you won't do another pick up line?" she asked me suspiciously. "One more!" I begged, and she said "Sure, go!" "Okay, Are you a parking ticket? Cause you've got fine written all over you." she burst out laughing. And after about a minute she finally composed herself "Do you have a pen and paper?" I felt my pockets and found a pen but no paper. "I've got a pen." She stole the pen from my hand then grabbed my arm and started scribbling down her phone number. "There happy?" she asked raising eyebrows. An smile crossed my face "Very." And with that she walked away. I heard a high pitch squeal in the direction where Maya went. I was about to walk over there when I was pulled back by one of my gang members, Danny.

"Did you just get the number of the girl who kicked your ass?" he asked obviously confused. "I like a girl who can handle herself." I stated truthfully "And please don't tell me you used one of your cheesy pick-up lines!" My other gang member, John groaned. "You know me so well!" I wrapped my arm around his shoulder. He immediately shoved my arm off and said "I think the only reason why she said yes was-" I cut him off and said "Because I used three pick-up lines on her and because of my boyish charm is irresistible!" I gave him a boyish smile. Danny rolled his eyes and we began walking out to the car.

Maya POV

Ally and Victoria both squealed in delight "Omg! Did you just give Xander Damon your phone number?" "Yeah. What's the big deal?" "It's Xander freaking Damon! He's only the most popular guy in our school!" Ally said being a little melodramatic. That's why his name sounded so familiar. "Why did you give him your number!?" Anthony asked in a harsh tone. "I don't see why this is any of your business." I spat back in the same harsh tone he used with me. And with that he stormed off. "Someone's jealous." I heard Tori whisper to Ally. "I'll go get him." Ally told us before rushing after her brother. We all made our way to the doors to get to Mikey's car. While Anthony had his own car he came in so I wasn't too worried about him getting home. And as soon as we got into the car and Mikey started the ignition he turned up the music full blast. We all started singing along to the music. It was playing Uptown girl by Billy Joel.

We all laughed at our terrible singing. I was the first to be dropped off. So I hopped out of the car and made my way to the front door. I dropped my hoodie at the front of the door and made my way upstairs to my bedroom. I checked my phone and I had one message. I clicked on it and it immediately took me to the message.

Unknown: Hi

Me: Who is this?

Unknown: Do you have a name or can I call you mine? 😉

Me: Xander Damon, what do you want?

Xander: I have some questions for you.

Me: Okay shoot.
