Odette's Prov
"Oh good your finally here!" Emile exclaimed as we came in the door to the upstairs liveing courters. "The doctor came early and is with Francoeur in the drawing room" he said plightly. "Oh I was hoping to be with him when he talked to Francoeur" Lucille said disappointed. "Well I think he's good to go by himself, he'll be fine" Raoul assured Lucille.
We took our coats off and made our way to the living room where there was tea made by Emile I suspect. We all sat down and grabbed a cup. "How was the ride here?" Emile asked with a visible grin. "Vomit inducing is a nice way in putting it" I laughed. "Sorry Raoul" I giggled. "Well I guess you can join the make fun of Raoul band wagon as well" He sighed and folded his arms unamused.
"Where's you lady friend Emile? Maud was it?" I said to Emile taking a sip of the green tea. "Yes unfortunately her aunt is sick and she's going to visit her with other members of her family" he explained. "Oh I hope that her aunt will be alright. Give her my best when you see her again will you?" I said. "Sure thing" Emile said gratefully.
"So why does Francoeur need to see the doctor?" I asked. "Well he usually comes occasionally to cheek on how he's doing. But this time we called him because Francoeur hasn't quiet been himself lately" Lucille said uneasily.
The door from the other room opened and closed. Then a older man with white hair and mustache came into the living room. "I thought I heard more voices" he said cheerfully as he took a set on the sofa next to me.
"Hey doc, how are ya?" Raoul asked with the same cheerfulness. "Oh I'm fine, but as for your insect friend...." He stated. "Is he alright?! Please tell me he's okay!" Lucille pleaded while squeezing Raoul's hand that was in hers tighter.
" In a sense yes he's perfectly fine. But you were right when you told me he was changing." He explained calmly.
"So what's the verdict?" Asked Emile.
"Well there's a lot of things happening to him that are hard to explain. But I guess I have to start somewhere" he said wearily as he rubbed his eyes underneath is spectacles.
"You all remember when I made that potion that would let him stay that size forever don't you?" He asked us. The others nodded. "Well with the original ingredients I added another so it would make the supper fertilizer permanent and stabilize everything. It seems that the ingredient isn't just abling him to stay that size but to adapt to his environment very quickly" he continued. "He doesn't need any blood substitute any more for I've observed that he is now able to get all the nutrients he needs from regular food."
"Good. I was running out of excuses to tell the butcher as to why I needed all that blood" Emile said relived.
"But that's not the most unusual. He's adapting behaviorally and internally. But don't worry his structure won't change." He said. "Um French please Doctor? I was never good at Biology" Raoul confessed.
The doctor huffed " it means he's body won't change because of this but on the inside he will. Also his emotions too. Right now for him it's like going though puberty but five times worse. It's all coming too fast but I know he will mange it, I have faith in him. But don't worry, after this he won't be an entirely different um.. Person. He'll be the Francoeur you all know and love he'll just be able to understand more." He finished. " I guess it's not the worse news I could have heard" Lucille said a little more relaxed " we"ll be sure to help him in any way that we can" she stated.
"I'm sure you will" the doctor agreed. Then he surprisingly turned to look at me and smiled kindly. "And you must be Mademoiselle Odette Dasiana. I've heard as much from him about you as on the streets of Paris" He chucked. My cheeks were hot and it wasn't from the tea. He talked about me?
"Now here's my prescription" the doctor said now to very one. "Take him anywhere that can be a good experience for him. You young people are basically going to be his teachers." He smiled but it turned serious now. "Now the next job is going to be for you two" he said as he pointed at Emile and Raoul. "Us?!" The both said confused and a tad scared. "I'm afraid so. It's not a subject that these ladies can talk to him about. I don't know why but he"ll have specific feelings and thoughts. When that time comes and you will know when it arrives..... You two will have to give him.....THE TALK!" He said seriously. "Wait do you mean "the" talk? Really?!" Asked Raoul.
"Yes I am completely certain that you will have to" he said.
"That's going to be fun" Emile moaned while face palming.
"Well I guess that's all I can do for you, I best be off" he said while standing up. "Oh and I should inform you that I'm going to be on a business trip for the next three months."he announced. "THREE MONTHS?!!" Exclaimed Raoul. "Yes I doubt you will have any problems when I'm gone. You all seem very capable of handling things." He stated. "The last time you were gone there was a wield goose chase for a mutated flea all across Paris" Raoul injected. "And who's fault was that?" The professor asked.
"Raoul's" everyone chimed.
"Me" said Raoul annoyed and defeated. "Just don't screw it up and you'll be fine" the professor said with an amused grin. "Good day everyone" he said before leaving and shutting the door behind him.
