Chapter 27) The Wedding

Roman's Point of View

I couldn't believe how beautiful Hayleigh looked walking down the aisle with her dad. I have to admit, she never talked about her parents but she looked like she was the happiest she has ever been. I couldn't believe she was the one who I would get to spend the rest of my life with. I was staring into her eyes, and fell in love with her more than I ever knew was even possible, but when she said she couldn't get married this way, I thought she was going to go running for the door.

"Hayleigh, what are you doi.." I said before she put a hand on my chest.

"She is a part of you, and we are going to be a family, so it's only right she be up here with us," she told me.

"JoJo, can you please come up here?" she said smiling at her.

JoJo had the biggest smile on her face, as she hopped off my mother's lap, and walk up to us. She took her place in between Hayleigh and I.

"Okay now I think we are ready to begin," Hayleigh told everyone smiling at me.

"Now, if that wasn't the most cutest thing I have ever seen, but what do you say, this is a wedding, how about we get you two married?" the priest said smiling.

After that, the wedding went perfect, until the priest asked if there is any objections. Hayleigh bent down, and looked at JoJo.

"JoJo, before I go any further, are you sure it's okay if I marry your daddy?" Hayleigh asked her smiling.

JoJo wrapped her little arms around her, and whispered something I coulnd't hear. When she stood up, I seen tears forming in her eyes.

"You okay?" I asked her.

"Yes," she said sobbing.

In that moment, I had to know what was said. I bent down, and asked JoJo.

"What did you tell her baby girl?" I asked her.

"I told her that I know you love her, and that if you do, I know I can," she said smiling at me, bringing a tear to my eye.

"I love you baby, how did I get so lucky to have two smart and beautiful women in my life," I said, as I hugged her.

"Easy, you're amazing daddy, but will you just get married already?" She said, then laughed.

"Of course," I told her, and stood up.

Hayleigh reached over, and wiped a tear off my face, and the wedding continued.

"Well then, if there is no one here that can give a reason that you two should not be married, I will get on with it. I have an understanding that the couple have written there own vows?" the Priest asked us.

We both shook our heads, and Hayleigh looked at me smiling. She didn't take out no paper, just looked in my eyes.

"Roman, I know we have met completely by a silly sign, that I owe all to my sister, but now, that sign really made my life complete. I also know that we may have said we were getting married for one reason, but in the end, I know that we are getting married for the right reason. I have fallen in love with you, and I still find myself falling in love with you more and more each day. You have shown me what true love is, and I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with you, and this beautiful, wonderful, and smart little girl right here," she said, as she took JoJo's hand. "I promise to show you the love you truly deserve, and I promise to trust you, be truthful to you, be honest with you, and love you, for the rest of our lives, so, I take you Leati to be my husband, to love and cherish you in good times, and in bad, in sickness and in health, until death do us part, I love you Leati," she said smiling.

All the words she just said, sent shocks, and butterflies to my stomach, and my heart felt complete. I wanted to kiss her right then and there, but I knew I had something to do first.

"Hayleigh, that sign may have been silly, but that sign really was a god send. It sent me to someone who is loving and caring. You are the one who I want to spend the rest of my life with and I know it in my heart. You wanted to get married to help me, but in reality, I know deep in my heart that we are getting married for the right reasons also. I love you more than words can say, and I promise that no matter the troubles I know we will face, and no matter what life has in store for us, I know we will make it through because we will be together. I know that I love you, and I know my daughter loves you, so I promise to listen to your problems, trust you, be truthful to you, be honest with you, and love you, for the rest of our lives, so, I take you Hayleigh, to be my wife, to love and cherish you, in good times and in bad, in sickness and in health, until death do us part, I love you Hayleigh," I told her looking in her big beautiful blue eyes.

"Okay so now, Leati, please take Hayleigh's wedding ring, and her left hand, and repeat after me," he said smiling.

"I Leati, choose you Hayleigh, above all others, to be my wife," he recited.

I took her ring, and looked at her.

"I Leati, choose you Hayleigh, about all others, to be my wife," I repeated.

"I offer this ring as a token of our love, and with it, join my life to yours," he spoke.

I looked at her teary eyes, and smiled at her.

"I offer this ring as a token of our love, and with it, join my life to yours," I said placing the ring on her left hand's tiny ring finger.

"Hayleigh, please take Leati's wedding ring, and his left hand, and repeat after me," he said looking at her, and she did so.

"I Hayleigh, choose you Leati, above all others, to be my husband," he said.

I looked at her, and she had more tears forming.

"I Hayleigh, choose you Leati, above all others, to be my husband," she said shaking.

"I offer this ring as a token of our love, and with it, join my life to yours," he spoke again.

"I offer this ring as a token of our love, and with it, join my life to yours," she said placing the ring on my left hand ring finger.

"Now, by the power vested in me, by the state of Florida, I now pronounce you, husband and wife, you may now, kiss your bride," he said smiling at me.

"Finally," was all I said, before reaching over, and attaching our lips.

At that moment, I didn't hear or see anything, until Hayleigh smiled in the kiss. I turned around, and  seen all of our family and friends clapping, and smiling. I couldn't help but think, today is the third best day of my life, the first was when I help JoJo for the first time, and the second was when I seen Hayleigh holding the sign.I seriously couldn't wait to spend the rest of my life with MY two girls, but I also knew that after tonight, it was back to work for the both of us, and we needed to figure out what we were going to do about everything.
