Chapter 6) Meeting that Changed My Life (Roman)

Seth, Marie and Roman drove to the arena, and all Roman could do was think about Hayleigh. He decided to text her. Here is there conversation.

Text Conversation

Roman: Hey sweetheart, it's Roman

Hayleigh: Hey Roey

Roman: You know only you can get away with calling me that

Hayleigh: I know, I think you make that clear, when Seth tried

Roman: Oh yeah, sorry, are you busy?

Hayleigh: It's fine, no, I just got out of the shower, you left the shirt you had on last night here, I kinda only have that on, hope you don't mind, why what's up?

Roman: Nothing really, just got to the arena, and no, I don't mind, I just wish I could see you in it, I bet you look hot

Hayleigh: See Attachment (It was a picture of her wearing his shirt)

Roman: Yep, I was right, you look hot

Hayleigh:Thanks

Roman: Your welcome beautiful, and about that date? How about Friday?

Hayleigh: I thought you had to stay out of the public eye, for smack down isn't it supposed to be live

Roman: No, it's not, but we will be out of the public eye anyway

Hayleigh: Oops, yeah sure that's fine, I just have to make sure everything is set at work, but I would like to know one thing?

Roman: What's that?

Hayleigh: What did you think about me when you first seen me?

Instead of Roman texting her back, he decided he would call her.

Phone Conversation

Hayleigh: Hello

Roman: Hey I didn't want to text this, and I don't want to say it over the phone, I would rather tell you face to face, but you asked. I thought you were the most prettiest girl I have ever seen, and wanted to get to know you, that's why I walked up, and kissed you, I was happy you had that sign.

Hayleigh: So you liked my looks

Roman:Yes, I did, but as I got to know you, I started liking you for your personality

Hayleigh: As did I with you, how's my sister

Roman: You kidding me, she loves it, she is living her dream, as she says

Hayleigh: I knew she would

Roman: I wish you could have came.

Hayleigh: Me too, but I gotta get to work

Roman: Alright, well I just got a message, I have to meet the boss, so I guess I will talk to you later, have a good day at work, and stay off the poles

Hayleigh: Haha, very funny, I don't have the body for that

Roman: The hell you don't

Hayleigh: If you say so, but I really got to get going, and you need to meet your boss, so I will talk to you later.

Roman: Bye beautiful

Hayleigh: Bye Roey

Roman's Point of View

After I got off the phone with Hayleigh, I went in and took my shower, to get ready for my match. All I could do was think about Hayleigh, and how much, I really to like her, and how quick the feelings were getting stronger. When I stepped out, Marie, Seth and Dean were there.

"Dean, the showers free," I told him.

"It's about time," Dean said and walked into the bathroom.

"Roman, have you talked to my sister?" Marie asked me.

"Yes, I just got off the phone with her, before I took my shower, she said she was getting ready to go to work, why?" I told her.

"No reason," she said grabbing her phone.

"If you're calling her, tell her I miss her," I said smiling, as she walked out of the room, as Seth walked over to me.

It was the first time, Seth and I had time to talk since the match last night.

"Hey Seth, what's going on?" I asked.

"Not much, but what are we doing? He replied.

"About what?" I asked him.

"We have never done anything like this, and you have never even looked at another girl, what happened?" He asked.

"My divorce was finalized last week, and I actually think I am ready to move on," I told him truthfully.

"That's great man," Seth said, as Marie came back in.

I haven't told Hayleigh, I was married at one point, because I plan on telling her, Friday on our date. I also have one secret, that I haven't told her yet. I have a 6 year old daughter, named Jo Jo. These are the things I usually didn't tell just anyone. I wait until I know my true feelings for them, before I bring them around her. Seth and Dean know, well because I have known them for 5 years.

"Did you tell your sister?" I asked,

"Yep, she said she misses you too, and that she is not on no pole," she said laughing.

I loved Hayleigh's sense of humor.

"Good, she can only us me for a pole," I said smiling.

"She did enough of that at the bar," Seth said laughing.

"I know, that's why I said that, and I am not complaining," I said blushing.

I looked over and Seth picked up his phone.

"Roman, were you supposed to go see Steph," Seth said.

"Shit, I forgot," I said, and walked out.

I walked out, and went to the bitch's office, without knocking, I just walked in.

"You wanted to see me Steph?" I asked.

"Yes I did, take a seat Roman, we have something we would like to talk to you about," she said smiling, as Hunter walked in.

I thought she was up to something she was being too nice.

"I'd rather stand," I said crossing my arms.

"Fine then, look we have been over tapes from NXT, and here in WWE, and we truly believe you deserve a title shot for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, so, we want you to start a feud with Brock, to set it up for the next Wrestlemania, so you have about 2 months," She said.

I was in complete shock, I've been in this business my whole life, and dreamt becoming WWE World Heavyweight Champion, and here is my chance. I felt like all my dreams were coming true.

"Are you kidding me," I asked, thinking it was a joke.

"No, with your tapes, and the hype you got from the WWE Universe kissing that girl last night, we believe it's the perfect time," she said.

"Hayleigh, yeah, they were going pretty loud, weren't they," I said smiling.

"You got her name," Steph asked.

"Yep," I answered.

"That's even better, think you can bring her to another show soon, even if it's just to walk out, and watch one of your matches at ringside, for some reason, your fans like her," she asked.

"Really, I don't know, I would have to ask her, but she don't even like wrestling," I answered blushing.

"Well, text me when you find out, and we want you to start that feud tonight," she said smiling.

"Okay, will do, thanks Steph," I said and walked out

I couldn't believe Hayleigh, had that big of an impact on my fans, with one little kiss. I knew I had to ask her about coming to another taping but I wanted to ask her in person. I figured after the show tonight, I would just go back to Wilkes-Barre, and talk to her. On the way back to the room I called my dad, and told him. He was excited almost as much as I was. I couldn't believe all my work was finally paying off. I got to the room and walked in, everyone was still there.

"So, you fired," Seth asked.

"Nope," I answered smiling.

"Are you going to tell us what happened," Dean asked.

"Guess," I said smiling.

Seth: "They want you to break up the shield?"

Me: "No"

Dean: "They want you to go back and train for NXT?"

Me: "No"

Marie: "They want you to stop talking to my sister."

Me: "Hell no, I wouldn't listen to anyway."

Dean: "I give up."

Marie: "Me too."

Seth: "Me three."

I just rolled my eyes, I picked up my phone.

"Let me call Hayleigh, and put her on speaker, then I will tell you all at the same time," I said dialing her number, and putting it on speaker. I am going to tell her about the match but not about her coming yet.

"Hello Roey," she said through the phone, I looked at Dean he was laughing.

"Don't you dare," I hissed at him.

"Hayleigh, you are on speaker, I got some good news, no one can tell anyone, got it?" I said to them all.

They all said yes, and Hayleigh yelled through the phone, "Nope, I am going to tell everyone," she said laughing.

"There's that perfect laugh again," I said.

"Roman, what the fuck, we are here, now tell us," Seth yelled.

"I got called into the office, I thought I was going to get bitched at for kissing you last night," I said in the phone. "But, instead they offered me a match at Wrestlemania, but the best part is it's a title shot for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship," I said causing them all, but Hayleigh to scream.

I took the phone off speaker and put it to my ear.

"Isn't that the biggest wrestling event of the year?" Hayleigh asked.

"Yes, it's like the Superbowl of wrestling," I said.

"That's amazing, congratulations, I am so happy for you, maybe I will get tickets to come watch it," she said sounding excited.

"Are you kidding me, you don't need tickets, I want you here as my guest," I said blushing, happy she couldn't see it.

"Okay, I will be there," she said, and I could tell she was excited,

"Great, and I was thinking after my match tonight, I have a few days off, I was just thinking about getting a hotel room near you, are you going to be up, I was hoping I could stop by," I asked.

"What time, I will be here until 4," she answered..

"It's over at 11:05, so I would probably get there by 1" I informed her.

"Alright, but you will have to come to my job," she said.

"That's fine," I said, getting excited I could see her tonight.

"Alright then, I will see you when you get here," she said.

"Alright bye," I told her.

"Bye Roey," she said, and hung up the phone.

I couldn't believe she called me that again, but I loved hearing her say it. I hung up the phone, and ran into the one and only Brock Lesnar.
