Chapter 26) Before the Wedding

Hayleigh's Point of View

After JoJo and I woke up, we ate breakfast, got our dresses, and Roman's Mom picked us up, and took us to the church. I went up to a little room to get ready, while Roman's Mom took JoJo to get her dress on, when my sister came walking in.

"Hayleigh, I have something to tell you. Mommy and Daddy are here, and want to know if they can come up and see you?" She asked me.

I haven't seen them in over 3 years, since my grandmother passed away. My grandmother was the one who practically raised us, since my mother and father were never around, and that was the reason I would call them by there real names, Mary and Ray, but I wasn't going to let that ruin my wedding day.

"Sure," I answered and she walked out.

How did they even know I was getting married? I thought as I waited for them to come up.

"Hey baby," Mary, who had brown hair like mine, said walking up to me.

"How did you know I was here?" I asked her.

"Well, Mikey called me and told me you were about to make a mistake," she said.

"Wow, Mikey well you know what he did to me and yet you still talk to him, well I am not making a mistake, and if that's what you think this is, you can leave. I'm sorry, but this is my life, and I am getting married today whether you want me to or not. Roman is everything I can asked for in a man and more," I said before Ray spoke up.

"No, baby girl, it's fine. We didn't believe Mikey, so we called Marie, and she told us. We have been following you and Roman both on twitter, and I seen you on TV. I seen that you two are in love, and happy, and that's all we want for you," he said.

"So you told them we were here," I said looking at Marie.

"Yes, but I knew you would want them here," she said innocently.

I thought for a moment, and she was right.

"Well, you're right," I said, then hugged her.

I smiled at my Mom and Dad when Roman's Mom came walking in with JoJo. Marie did the introduction's while, I bent down, to talk to JoJo.

"You're beautiful, you ready to be the flower girl princess?" I asked her smiling.

"Yep, you look pretty Hayleigh," she said smiling.

"Thank you, but you are the prettiest girl here," I told her, and gave her a small hug, until Roman's mom spoke.

"Well good, now that everyone is here, we can get on with the good luck charms. Something old," Roman's Mom said looking at Marie.

"Here, this was our Grandmother's," My mom said handing me a cross necklace.

I started to cry, remembering the day she passed away. I was on spring break, and on the way to her house, when Marie called and told me she had a heart attack. I couldn't even say anything, before his mom went on. 

"Okay, something new," she said, before Marie laughed.

"It's in the bathroom," she said smirking.

I knew it was a garter belt.

"Okay, something borrowed," she said, and handed me silver hair clip.

"I wore that the day I married Roman's dad. I know you two haven't known each other long, but I see it that it's going to last forever," she said smiling as she put it in my hair.

"Awww, thank you Mrs..." I said before she cut me off.

"Don't you dare, I'm mom," she said.

"Well, thank you Mom," I said a little shy. 

It was the first time, I have said mom in three years out loud.

"Now, something blue," she said, and they all looked around. 

"I got nothing," Marie said.

"Me either," My mom said, then looked at my dad. He shook his head no.

"Well, I can go and see..." Roman's mom said, before JoJo tugged on my hand.

"Yes princess," I asked her.

"I got this," she said, handing me a little blue hair tie. "You can put it on your wrist," she said smiling.

All four of us adults didn't know what to do or say, but I bent down to her level, and gave her a hug.

"You saved the day princess," I said kissing her little cheek.

"Well, you're going to be my Step-Mom," she said, before someone knocked on the door.

I couldn't even concentrate on who or what it was about. I got down on my knees, and cried, until Roman's mom put her hand on my shoulder.

"That was the most adorable thing I think any of us has ever seen, but I believe a wedding is about to happen, we need to get down stars," she said.

I wasn't ready to leave go of the princess in my arms, but I had no other choice. I left go, ran in the bathroom, and put on the teal garter belt that my sister got, and went back out to see only my dad.

"Will you please let me walk you down the aisle?" He asked me.

I smile and nodded. We walked down the steps to get ready to make our entrance, when I seen someone I thought would not show up.

"Hayleigh, you look breathtaking, Roman is a lucky man," Dean said, then kissed my cheek.

"Thanks Dean," I said politely, as I heard the music.

Here comes the bride started playing, and the doors opened. I walked in, on my dad's arm, and smiled when I seen my soon to be husband standing about 20 feet in front of me. He looked more handsome as ever. He was wearing a white tux, which made me melt. As I got up to him, I looked in his eyes, and I seen my soul. I knew this is what I wanted and his smile made it clear that he wanted to do this just as much as I did. My dad kissed my cheek, then handed me over to Roman, and he picked his hand up, and wiped off a tear.

"You look like a princess," Roman said smiling.

It was then when I remembered JoJo saying what she said. I didn't feel right getting married like this. Before anyone could say a word, I had to stop the ceremony.

"Stop, I don't want to get married this way," I said, then turned around.

A/N Okay I know you are all thinking, Why Why Why, well, you will see in the next chapter, it isn't what it seems relax LOL........ Now I promise, the new chapter will be up on Friday, I am sorry it took me this long to update......... Anyway, how was this chapter?
