Number VI

Chapter 1

My day started normal. As normal as it could that is. I've been living with Joyce Byers and her two sons for the past year. She's been teaching me how to live a normal life. Since I got back from the upside down so many things have changed. I learned how to use a television and to drive a car, which I'm not very good at.

It's now 7:24am and I just got out of the shower. I walk back to my room, aka the back shed that we transformed into a room, in a towel. Walking through the yard I see a car driving by, suspiciously  slow. Taking a glance at it I see two men in it. I can barely make out mumbling sounds from them, but I can't understand what they're saying. I use my powers to speed up the car and walk into my room.

I get dressed in my swim suit, a stripped crop top and some overall shorts. Today was supposed to be warm and it seemed like a good day to go to the mall, so I wanted to wear something cute. Grabbing my vans I head back into the house to eat breakfast with Joyce and Will.

~time skip~

I was waiting at the small grocery store with Joyce for customers to come in but most of the customers have moved to shopping at the mall. Joyce was labeling things with new price tags and I was reading an advanced physics book. Don't take me wrong I could sit and watch Joyce work alone all day but physics is more interesting.

I hear footsteps approach the front door and just before someone walks in I point to the door and say, "Joyce we have a customer."

Hopper walks in a starts complaining about how Eleven and Mike ALWAYS kissing. Note my sarcasm. Joyce tries explaining to him that it's just a phase and that they're just teenagers but Hopper doesn't buy it. Joyce then turns to me with a look of help. "Hey! Don't look at me, I grew up in a lab and then the upside down remember. I've never had a relation with a guy." 

Joyce gets more frustrated and explains that he needs to have a heart to heart talk with the two. Going back to my physics book I zone the talking out. That is until he asks her out on a date. As their conversation gets a little more personal I decide it's my time to leave. I grab my books and head to the door,"hey Joyce, I'll see you at home"

I hear a faint "alright see you later" as I walk out the door.

Getting home I head to the back yard to enjoy some sun. I lay out a beach towel and lay in the sun for who knows how long.

Going back into my room I lay on the bed to rest. Slowest drifting into a sleep.
