Chapter 11

You and Kukui ran out of your front door together and onto Alola's bright, sunny beach. You were in your teal bikini, and Kukui had taken off his labcoat, and stayed in his gray sweatpants. He also removed his green shoes and his white hat.

Kukui looked to have thought for the moment, as he looked away. But then, he looked back at you and smiled lightly. "I'd say you're somewhere between my girlfriend and fiance." He said, as he looked down at you. He noticed your tears, and immediately put both of his hands on your face, and wiped them away with his thumbs. "Hey, why are you crying?" He asked.

"Sorry, I was just scared of what your response would be. But, really?" You asked, as you returned his smile. "But, didn't you just break up with your wife? Sorry to bring it up, I'm just curious.." You asked.

Kukui sighed. "Honestly (y/n), when I first laid eyes on you, you took my breath away. To the point where I didn't want to be with my wife anymore. I was going to see how it all played off, and go from there. But, last night she did the work for me by cheating on me. Which honestly, I kind of had the feeling she was anyway just by how much she had changed over a small span of time." He explained to you.

You nodded in understanding, your tears dry now. "Yeah, I got you. I'm sorry you had to go through that, though. Cheating is not cool. If you're unhappy with someone, just leave." You shrugged.

Kukui continued staring at you, and smiled. "So, what do you want to do now?" He asked.

You thought for the moment, and it was then that you felt and heard your stomach growl. It was so loud, even Kukui heard it. You then realized you hadn't eaten anything all day today.

Kukui chuckled. "I take it you're hungry?" He asked. Suddenly, you heard a loud noise coming from Kukui's stomach as well.

You giggled. "Sounds like someone else is too." You winked. "I can make us both lunch at my place." You said, happily.

"Sounds good to me, beautiful." He said, as he picked you up bridal style to where you were out of the water and carried you back to your house.
