I wake up the next morning, feeling refreshed. I smile to myself. Those boys are not gonna like what's coming to them!
We decided to move our day of revenge to Monday, where the whole school would see it. We had just finished drawing up the plans last night, before heading to bed. A rush of excitement goes through me as I think about it once more. Oh, I can't wait!
I yawn, walking upstairs. All the other girls are already eating breakfast, chatting happily. They all smile as I enter.
"Hey girl, what's up? Have a good sleep?" Nichole asks, scooting over on the couch for me to sit down.
"Bebe made some breakfast burritos for us" Millie adds. "Help yourself."
I smile, thanking them, and compliment Bebe on her delicious meal. She flips her hair. "Thanks! I want to be a famous chef when I grow up!"
"Really? That's so cool!"
We talk for a bit, and I realize how much their attitudes toward me have changed, and how glad I am for it. I never wanted to be at odds with these girls; I'm glad I came here after all. Until Red speaks up.
"So (Y/n)," she smirks, "you never did finish your dare from last night."
My cheeks pinken, and I look away. "Eh-What do you mean? I did call Kyle, he just didn't pick up."
Wendy rolls her eyes. "No, but you still didn't say it to him. You need to finish the dare!"
"Oh come on!" I scoff. "Haven't we had enough drama for one weekend?"
Heidi shakes her head. "No way! Do it, (Y/n)!"
She starts chanting, and everyone else joins. I raise my hands in defeat. "Alright, alright, I'll do it. But if he doesn't pick up, I'm not calling him again."
They cheer as I pick up the phone, sweating. My hands are so slippery, I can barely hold the phone. I dial the numbers, my breath shortening. It rings once, twice, three times... Then the line connects and I hear the young boy's voice over the phone.
"Mmnh..." Kyle groans. "(Y/n)? What time is it?"
"Uh, i-it's 9:30 am," I mentally curse myself for fumbling my words.
"Uh huh... And why are you calling me?"
"Oh, did I wake you up? I'm so sorry, I can call at another ti-"
"(Y/n)! Stop! It's fine, don't worry," he laughs.
"Are you sure?" I begin to pace around the room.
"Of course." I can almost hear the smile in his voice. "I'd get up at 3 am if you asked me to, (Y/n)."
I blush, nearly dropping the phone. Most of the girls are silently "aww"-ing or swooning. Wendy has to hit Millie for nearly laughing out loud. I clear my throat. "Thank you Kyle, but I won't make you do that."
He laughs again. "That's good. Anyway, what's your reason for calling?"
I swallow, forcing my anxiety down my throat. "Weeeeelllll... wewereplayingagameofMASHandwegotmarriedsoIjustwantedtosayIcan'twaittomarryyouokaybye!"
I hang up before he could say anything, breathing heavily. All the girls groan. "Why did you hang up?" Esther sighs.
Heidi gets up and shakes me. "Yeah, he could have agreed with you! WHAT WERE YOU THINKING!"
"Calm down Heidi," Nichole says. She gives me a kind smile. "You really should have waited a bit, though."
I groan. "Well, at least it's over with. Hopefully, he didn't even hear me."

Kyle's POV:

Did I just hear what I think I heard?!

Does (Y/n) really want to marry me? I think to myself. Well, this is a bit sooner than expected. After all, we're only in middle school. Still though, it's a nice thought.
I think about spending a life with (Y/n), this beautiful, sweet, snarky, funny girl... This girl I absolutely adored. It truly would be Heaven on Earth.
I decide to hold my tongue, to tell her when the time is right. That way, it's special.
I smile dumbly, laying back down in my bed, and let my mind be completely enveloped in my love for her.

Your POV:
I hug Nichole goodbye, "Will I see you Monday?"
She nods. "Of course girl! Don't forget to call!"
I smile back. "Great. See you later, I love you!"
"Bye!"
I turn back to Bebe, clasping my hands together. "Is anyone else still here?"
She shakes her head. "Nope, you're last."
"Well, don't worry," I say, checking my phone. "I won't be a burden much longer; I just have to grab my stuff."
I start to walk downstairs, but Bebe grabs my hand. "(Y/n), wait."
I flinch slightly, thinking she's going to hit me. But when I see her face, I see... Sadness? She leads me to her couch and sits me down, sitting in front of me. "So... I hear you went on a date with Clyde."
My eyes widen. I completely forgot he and Bebe were dating! "Oh my goodness, I am so sorry!" I gush. "He didn't say anything! I had heard you guys had an on-and-off relationship, and then he asked me out! I am so, SO sorry!"
She laughs a bit, waving her hand. "Oh, don't worry about that. He and I aren't dating anymore; I'm with a guy named Bridon Gueermo."
She puts a hand over her mouth, as if she were whispering about someone who wasn't even there. "Even though he's only a seventh grader, he can sing AND play basketball! He's so dreamy!"
Pretty soon though, she turns serious again. "I want to help you. I know that a lot of guys like you, and you like them."
I raise an eyebrow, but she continues. "Just please be careful. A lot of the guys in our grade, like Clyde, are very sensitive. If you break their hearts too badly, bad things can happen."
She winks, pointing a thumb at herself. " So if you ever need any help with love, us girls are here for you!"
I smile widely, and hug her. She hugs me back and sighs happily.
"Thanks a lot, Bebe," I say as I pull away. "Really, it means a lot."
"Anytime, (Y/n)," she says softly, closing the door behind me.

When I get home that afternoon, my mom gets up and greets me. "So? How'd it go?"
I suddenly fall to my knees, crying. I can't stop sobbing as my surprised mother runs to me and hugs me tightly. "My goodness sweetie, was it really that awful?"
A huge smile breaks out on my face, amidst the tears. "They like me," I sob.

They really, really like me.
