Izuku's POV

I jolted upright as the alarm went off, softly panting. I rubbed my face, frustrated. "Why can't I sleep like a normal person," I groaned as I slid off the bed. Last night was a nightmare, literally. I slept for a few hours but felt as if it's only been minutes. Groggily, I got up, grabbed my uniform and put it on, attempted to make my tie properly, and headed out.

As I stepped into the main room, the conversations turned into whispers. I sighed, rubbing the bridge on my nose, "guys please stop talking about me, I know you are, I'm fine, promise." I kept walking, I didn't need food anyway. I opened the dorm doors, and jogged to the classroom, hoping it would help somehow. It didn't.

Throughout the day, it was unbearably long, and often someone would come up to me and ask "are you okay?"

It was the sixth time that day when Iida came up to me and with his choppy hands asked, "are you doing alright, Midoriya?"

I exhaled harshly, this was getting pretty old, "guys, stop, I'm fine." It was finally the end of the school day and class had just been dismissed.

I quickly packed up my things and left, not wanting to talk to anyone. Once I got to my dorm room I slammed it in frustration. Pulling out the homework, I started, and finished in about forty minutes. I glanced at the clock, "3:40, I have plenty of time," but I didn't really want to socialize. A sudden wave of drowsiness hit me, causing me to yawn. Laying my head down on the desk, I decided a power nap couldn't hurt.

I startled awake, cold sweat dripping down my face, and unable to remember the nightmares. I was still on my chair, and had slept on my desk with my school uniform on. I slowly got up, fully awake and not wanting to go back to sleep. Quietly, I made my way towards the door, opening it gently. Tiptoeing through the halls and to the elevator, I pressed the button lightly, praying it wouldn't make much sound. It dinged, but it seem louder then before. I breathed a groan and got in, hoping it didn't wake anyone up. As the doors were shutting behind me, I caught a glimpse of a flash of black quickly approaching me, getting cut off when the doors completely closed.

I stayed there, frozen. What was that? Is someone there? I breathed out, no, surly not, I'm probably just paranoid. I leaned on the rails, tapping my finger impatiently. The doors pinged, signaling I was at the main floor.

Everything was eerily quiet, making me feel like I was breathing too loud. I softly padded towards the kitchen, hoping some water might help me. As I reached up to grab a glass, a flash of black appeared in the corners of my vision. Swiftly I tuned, but nothing was there.

"Hello?" I whispered, barely hearing my own voice. "If someone's there, it's not funny." I stared for a few more seconds into the darkness, nothing. I slightly frowned, then fumbling around, I proceeded to turn to get a glass again. I was clutching the glass when I heard it.

Breathing.

I dropped the glass and it shattered everywhere, an ear splitting screech slipped out of my lips before I quickly smashed my hands on my mouth.

"Oh shoot," I breathed. Then, something else could be heard,

Tapping,

Tapping on the windows. It sounded faint, and almost distant, but close at the same time.

I ran, what if father's here? He made a threat before, he sounded as if he was going to keep it. If he came back— my thoughts were interrupted when splitting pain shot through my feet and to my legs, as I looked down I slipped and slammed my body against the floor, pain stabbed all around my body, and a chocked cry escaped my lips.
