One Week Later: Valentine's Day

Valentine's Day. The day that celebrated love. Red roses, chocolates, flirtatious smiles, sweet promises and heartfelt memories, the day was like that for most people who had a better half, a soul mate or a life partner.

Gauravi had an amazing day at the office. Everyone was in a jovial and light mood teasing each other.

However, she missed him.

It had been four days since she hadn't seen him. Shiv and Nishaant were out of town for a Business Summit. She wasn't the only one who was missing someone, Raashi was missing her husband too.

Gauravi and Nishaant had kept up their mere-acquaintance-got engaged act in front of the family after heading back from Chittorgarh.

Of course, Gauravi was given a long list of dos and don'ts before leaving her home. Her grandmother had personally given her a lecture on how she must conduct herself in the Oberoi household and how she must not get too 'forward' with her fiancee. How she must not be spotted with other men, even if friends. How she must impress the Oberois with her culinary skills. The list went on.

If only her grandmother knew how her lecture was a waste of her energy.

The sad part was her bike was taken away. The initial two days Nishaant continued to drop her to office. They both had a lot to catch up on in their respective work zones, so they mostly remained busy. On the third day, Tej had informed Shiv and Nishaant about the Business Summit they had to leave for.

They exchanged random tests throughout the past week. Mostly bickering remarks.

Nishaant was super busy with the summit. Gauravi had only realized this when Raashi had complained about Shiv barely talking to her. How Gauravi wished she could complain about Nishaant too.

But she didn't want to openly admit to having the hots for a husband-to-be. The family still were in the dark about Nishaant and Gauravi's closeness.

Besides, the more awkward they appeared before the family, the more easier it was for them to secretly spend more time with each other.

Also, she didn't want to invite teasing from the family. She tossed on her bed swiping through random posts on her social media, when a message popped up on her screen.

A smile sparkled across her face and she scrambled to sit up. She picked up the cushion placing it on her lap and sat comfortably to text the man who had finally got time to remember her.

Mr. Lambu :

Happy Valentine's Day!

You realized it only now?

Mr. Lambu: Yup!

How was your day?

Mr. Lambu :

Aren't you supposed to wish me back?

I already wished my Valentine.

Mr. Lambu :

Really? But, I did not get any surprise, call or text.

Who said that 'you' are my Valentine?

Mr. Lambu :

Wow. So who is your Valentine?
