The Boy Who Stood Back Up

The Encounter

(Sorry for the mistakes if there is any please let me know and I hope you like this part cause took me 2 days to write it.)

As I entered the school hall, everyone there just stopped their tasks and just started staring at me like I was a murderer. My feet froze at that moment it was all like that time had either stopped for me or everything around me became extremely fast. All the sounds became inaudible for me, my body became rock solid. I could feel my heart pounding very fast. Everything was happening so fast for me. When I heard a voice from nearby me that was inaudible for me in the first but when I felt a hand patting of my shoulder, I snapped out of the ultra speed vortex. " Are you alright July?You seem a little off? " said Charlie with a worried tone. I shook my head and just started walking without even replying to Charlie's questions. I walked down the hall avoiding all sorts of eye contact. I heard alot of whisperings and murmurings as I walked passed the students. Of course everyone in the school the students, the teachers, everyone had seen the video. So I just went down the hall with small fast steps. Charlie was right behind me all this time tryna catch up to me. I saw crowd gathered around my locker. When I got up to my locker, I could see why so much rush was around here. On my locker there was poster of me with a photo of last Friday's presentation where I rushed out of the classroom with tears , and underneath was written "World's Fastest Spe - Spe - Spe..... Speaker" , "F - F - F....... Falter", "Stu - Stu - Stu..... Stutterer", "Slugger". I quickly took down the posters. I was already very embarrassed and scared. So I quickly opened up my locker and took out my books. When all the sudden I heard a familiar voice from behind.

"Well-well-well look who it is. The person who couldn't even speak his name properly". It was Jay. He had a mocking smile on his face. "It seems that you've seen your welcome surprise from us on your locker" he said with a sarcastic tone. Jay was that guy is school who people would be dying to be friends with and all the girls wanted him. He was the most popular in the school. But he also was a big jerk. So I tried to ignore him and just walk off. But as I was going to walk pass him, he stuck his arm out blocking my way to go. "Where you think you're going Falter?"said Jay while blocking my way. I couldn't speak up cause I couldn't, like Jay was strong, big and also had a group by his side that were as jerk as him."Leave him alone Jay," said Charlie. "If he wants to be left alone be can speak himself, only if it doesn't take him 6 hours to speak it,"said Jay while laughing. Everyone around him started to laughing. I was so gonna tear up at that moment and Also wanted to punch Jay in the face, but obviously that would be like suicide. Charlie came up to me and
said," C'mon let's go July, just ignore him". "Ignore me. Who do you think you are Mr. Saving-his-butt-all-the-time" Jay said to Charlie. Charlie became extremely angry and stood up to Jay's face and said "You really wanna know who I am?". Charlie was also big and muscular. He was also a in the football team, but Charlie and Jay never got along. The crowd gathered around Charlie and Jay in a circle.

Jay and Charlie were face to face. The heat between them could be seen in both of their eyes. It was only a matter of time before anyone of them would start throwing punches at each other. When at that moment the bell rang. The crowd dispersed, Jay said to Charlie "You're lucky the bell saved your and your little stuttering buddy ass from been beaten up". Jay walked off with his friends with a mocking smile on his face. "C'mon we're gonna me late for class July" Charlie said while giving me a smile. As we were walking to the classroom I stopped Charlie by putting my hand on his shoulder. "What it is July?" Charlie asked. Charlie was the only one that i talked to without any hesitation. "Th - th - thank you Charlie,". Charlie in reply said "Listen this is your last warning, if you ever ever said thank you ever again to me. I'm gonna beat you up picturing you as Jay" said it in a funny sarcastic way. Both of us laughed and entered the classroom. (Little bit of bromance moment)

As usual me and Charlie sat in the last bench of the 3rd row, cause it had a window from which we could see the buildings of the school. Our first class as usual was of Mr. Mike. He was our science teacher. He entered as all students stood up to greet him. Then he took out his attendance register and started marking the attendance. My name was called I raised my handed to tell our teacher that I was present. On the other hand when Jay's attendence was calling out he said " Presen- se - sent". Everyone started laughing and staring at me. Clearly he was mimicking me. Mr. Mike told the class to be quiet and started teaching like nothing every happened.
The rest of the day went as usual. After our science class is was history then physics, maths, literature and last class was chemistry . I always hated chemistry and always got bored in it. So during the class i kept thinking about Jay's actions and was devastated by it. As I was thinking about it the teacher saw me that I wasn't mentally present in the class so he stood me up and asked me to tell the class what he was saying. I stood up, extremely nervous. All the eyes of the students were on me. My palms started sweating. I exactly knew what the teacher was telling although I had no interest in his class but knew what he was saying. I gathered up some courage and tried to speak. But I was interrupted by Jay. "Sir the question you should be asking him should be, where did he learn how to speak like that." Everyone had a laugh, even our Chemistry teacher. At that moment all the courage that I somehow had gather to speak was shattered into a million pieces and I so badly wanted to cry but somehow held my tears. The bell rang I packed up my bag as fast as I could and took off. Charlie came after me. But i told him i didn't want to talk yo to anyone.

I got up to my home. Unlocked the door and went straight to my room. I was so frustrated and angry so I punched my wall until my knuckles became white ghost. "What was the problem in me? Why am I like this?". I went and changed my uniform. My mother called me for noon supper. I went down greeted her. She asked how was school today. "Could school ever be great?" I replied in a rough tone. And took my food upto my room. As I was eating my meal I received a message from Charlie "July don't let jerks like Jay get on you. You know you're way more superior than he'll ever be."
I replied "You're joking right. He's way way better than me. Atleast he was say whatever he wants without his voice sounding like a cheap production remix." Charlie replied " It's better if we talk about it later, you need to calm down and we'll talk about it later". I replied "Sure, Ttyl" and closed my phone. That day went even worst than Friday. He made fun of me in front of the whole school and class. I so badly wanted to just punch him in the face or just shut him quiet with an answer. But sadly I couldn't. The whole day went well studying and reading book as usual. And I slept that my exact time.
But this time I wasn't able to sleep. Just the laughter of the students just couldn't let me sleep. So I turned on the Playlist that I heard whenever I wanted to relax. And after some time fell asleep.

The next day I woke up 5 minutes before my alarm. So I turned it off. Got out of the bed. Went to the bathroom washed up my face. When I got out of the bathroom I saw a text from Charlie saying that he's sick and won't be able to make it to the school. Charlie was like my bodyguard who saved me from the jerks. So today I was alone. I got ready, picked up my bag and went downstairs to eat breakfast as usual toast and yogurt. I quickly ate it and got my way going to the school. As I was walking kept of thinking what was I going to do without Charlie by my side. As i entered the school building the same case as before all eyes were on me. But this time I went without even looking up went straight to my locker, picked up my stuff and went straight to class. As going to class I accidentally bumped into a girl . I didn't even look who it was, just saw the light of the corridor reflecting on her big round Harry Potter like glasses. I just gave her a gesture of apology for bumping into her and went straight to my class . I sat at my seat in the last. But since Charlie wasn't with me I felt lonely. The bell rang,Mr. Mike came into our class with a smile on his face that we usually didn't see very often. He told was that he would like introduce to someone. A new student was joining. Everyone looked surprised because it was the mid of the year. Why would anyone join at such a time.
The door to our class opened. Mr Mike said "I would like you to meet June".

Who is this June? Why did she join the school in the mid year? Who did July bump into?

Sorry for the delay and this time I tried doing some commas and that stuff ik i messed up many places so just let me know and next time I'll try to make it better.
