I failed her

I failed her as a partner

I failed her as a friend

as all that ran through my mind the instant I saw her arms, and even when we were outside I still couldn't do anything but cry and feel like I've failed her

— I've cause nothing but trouble — she said. It hurt to see her like this, it hurt so much but my body wouldn't walk over to her and suddenly the bell rang signaling that lunch was over

— Kai, can you call Yeonjun or Soobin and tell them to pick Jeena up? — Taehyun asked

— Um, yeah — I managed to say

— No I- —

— Jeena, you won't stay here today. Huening call them — Said  Beomgyu and I did just that

— Hi Hyuka why are- — Yeonjun said as he picked up the phone

— Yeonjun Hyung — I cut him off

— What's wrong? — he asked

— Can you and Soobin hyung come pick Jeena up? Please — I asked  him

— Of course but what happened? —

— Just please, get her home or even to our dorm? — I begged

— Huening this sounds serious, what's wrong — he asked

— Please —

— we'll be there soon — Yeonjun said as he hung up the phone

— They'll be here soon — I said

— Thank you Hyuka — said Taehyun

— Guys I'm gonna go to the bathroom quickly — Said Jeena as she looked down towards her feet, tears still falling

— I'll go with you Jeen, I'll wait at the door for you — Beomgyu smiled trying to comfort the girl. And just as they were gone I let out every sob I was holding

— Hyuka — Taehyun hugged me

— Hyung, I failed her. The only thing I was supposed to do was make her happy and I failed — I sobbed on my elder's shoulder

— Huening that's not it, you didn't do anything wrong. I bet you do make Jeena very happy — Taehyun patted my back

— But not enough, obviously not enough because I couldn't stop her hurting. I'm a horrible boyfriend —

— Hyuka we're all at fault, none of us knew she was hurting cause she kept it to herself, she always smiled and told us she was fine and we believed it. You're not a bad boyfriend and I bet if you asked her she'll tell you too — Taehyun said and I tried to calm myself down since I knew she was coming back

— Huening, why are you crying — I heard the voice of our eldest hyung

— Nothing Yeonjun hyung, I'm not the one we should worry about here — I wiped my tears away while Soobin hugged me

— Guys — Jeena's voice came out in a whisper

— Come one darling, let's get you home or would you prefer going to our dorm — Soobin smiled and pulled her into his arms

— Dorms — Was the only thing she said she said as her eyes filled back up with tears and her head with terrible memories
