We are already a week into classes, and they are kicking my ass. Also because of the not ideal sleeping situation. You know not being able to sleep. Ever since I saw Percy in the common rooms, he seems to be avoiding me. I'm probably being paranoid, but regardless.
When I finally catch him, in the corner of the library. I was in there to borrow a book about healing spells. I see the recognizable red hair peaking out of one of the large plush chairs, his back to me. I approach him and he doesn't have an, I've been avoiding you don't talk to me expression. He just looks tired. Dark circles evident under his eyes.
"When was the last time you slept?" I ask him, kneeling down to his level. He looks up from the surprisingly small book he is reading. With a somewhat annoyed look, he breaks eye contact to reply,
"Last night, thanks for telling me that I look like shit." he mumbles, in a very not Percy like fashion.
"Okay, sorry, you just don't look to well, I have a right to be concerned," I say as if humoring a small child. " Do you need anything? Water, a nap, some food?"
"No I am capable of getting things myself."
"I know you are, but you seem very invested into that book," I humor him, pointing to the small book that he was 'reading' before I found him, " and I'm already up," I stand up now looking down at him, "Head Boy, so you sure you don't need anything?" the sides of his mouth curve up for a second.
"I'm alright, Oliver, honestly," he replies softly, "thanks for asking though."
"No problem mate," I reply making my way out of his space, health potions book still in hand, "I'm here if you ever need anything, I mean after all these years, you should know that."
------
"Health spells and potions," Percy asks, after knocking on the door of the dorm we once both shared. It was about an hour past lights out, and the surprise of being awake past that time had worn off in the last couple of days.
"Hmm?"I question, unsure what he is talking about.
"The book you had in the library?" he questions leaning on the door, as if he wasn't allowed into his old room.
"Oh! Yeah, I've always enjoyed the healing spells, they let me keep my team strong." Percy huffs out his nose, with a faint smile.
"Oh, of course," he rolls his eyes, "So its to fix your players."
"Well, I like it too, it's interesting,if quidditch doesn't work out for me, St Mungo's Hospital is the place to be."
"Oh, really?" he looks still stone faced but his eyebrows raise.
"Yeah, why not. What about you Head Boy, whats your plan after this," I gesture to the room.
"I don't know yet," he looks at his feet.
"That's ok, Percy," I say leaning my head to catch his eyes, "Not everything needs to be planned yet." He hums in agreement, nodding.
"Yeah, yeah, no stress," he huffs out his nose again, "Well, I should head back to my room, in case anyone needs anything."
"Ok, yeah go do your Head Boy duties," I joke softly, smiling.
